I figured i would post a build I've been running for a while. It can take a crazy beating and dish one out as i will show. http://mwo.smurfy-ne...74b98568e30b7b7 I almost never run a mech with this much back armor even my stalker only has 12 back armor but it makes it extremely good to brawl with. When your front gets messed up and your shield arm is gone just show them your back and take the hit. This tactic has saved me many times and will many more. I also use the shield arm as much as possible and when its gone i use my other. This allows me to survive extreme amounts of damage. I believe with this setup i am more survivable than my cataphract 1x with max armor. Which to me is awesome, I can take massive damage and still output very good damage. I also don't have to sacrifice speed or armor or even ammo. Hell i have an ams. This build is just cool. I know that it isn't very original im sure its been run before but another post about it wont hurt. Finally here is what i mean:

The next are from when xtrekker and i dropped together.(yen-low with ac20,2 med lasers, xl300) P.S. - I had one leg and no side torsos and was fighting a crippled atlas then xtrekker saved my ***.

Pretty similar to what I was using before the higher engine cap.
Nowadays I use this one instead, though I do miss the alpha potential of the SRM6s.

That actually isn't that unique. It is almost a default Trebuchet weaponry build.

Personally I don't ever use LRM's without a TAG laser. ECM is still something you need to counter, and the fact is a TAG laser speeds up target lock and will tighten up your missile spread.

yes for trench bucket not cn9-l

dont care for tag eats up space best used for another laser

and mostly its the med version of my cat c1

TAG is incedibly useful for LRMs, if youre not using it when you can then youre doing yourself a disservice.

Awesome mech and a solid build for it. I run almost the same thing - but trade off a few pts of armor for FF+standard 275. The extra bit of speedy comes in handy.

6 kph extra isnt a big enough advantage for me to give up 3 tons (lose ams and some armor), even with max leg armor i occaisionally get legged so no thanks.
