Pretty simple thread really. If PGI released a Hero Hunchback mech, what kind of slot layout, hardpoints and unique features would it have ?

They'd just need to tweak it a bit. I'd even accept dual autocannon 10s.

Something with PPCs in the hunch. a 2x PPc hunch and 5MLAS. We have 2 ballistic, 2 missile and only 1 energy.

Well, I can say for certain that it had better have a symmetrical loadout, or despite my master'd hunchbacks I will have no use for it.

How better than the ones we have? Unless the hero lets me run a 140 kph with 9 small lasers again, then im not interested. All the current Hunchies are fine, minus the engine!

Minus the engine how can you make it better? A sp w 2 ballistic instead of missile your tonnage sucks.

There is a reason low tonage mechs use lasers its weight/damage against tonnage!

It can be an experimental Kurita refit, small R-side hunch with an AC/5, and a small L-side hunch with a PPC.
Classic Kurita.

There is no way for it to cover any kind of loadout that isn't already possible unless either it does not have a hunch or it has a very large engine cap. We already have ballistic, energy, and missile hunches covered plentifully; given that the 4J can mount six energy hardpoints, I am almost willing to say it could be classed as missile or energy, even.

That said, a hero Hunch will be a long time in coming. The founders variants are considered to be heroes, as of now at least.

At the very least it could have different placement of the Hunches (for example, energy Hunches with all the weapon mount points really high up on the Hunch instead of scattered along it), or multiple energy/ballistic Hunches.

8 E ,1 M hero hunch. looks like the 4sp, but with 2 Energy in each side torsos,  1 energy in arms and head,  1 energy 1 missile in the CT. Let it mount a 275 (all hunchies need this treatment). so basically 8 med lasers and an srm4. SUPER ZOMBIE HATCHBACK!
make it, pgi, and I'll buy two. seriously, this mech would melt face.edit: now that i look at it, I just made the Quickdraw 5k. hmmm....

The Hero Hunchie should come with a 400XL engine and have high mounted ballistic, missile and energy slots in each side torso section.

Oh, and nothing in the arms. The arms would just be big, tower shield shaped armor plates on stubs- like bigger and more effective curved versions of certain Cicada variants' arms.
As for the weapons themselves... say... 2x SSRM2s, 2x slas, and 2x ac/2s.

Because- lets be honest here- everyone strips out the default stuff asap anyway.

Oh, I wouldn't say no to 4x AMS also. Or at least 2x :).

Although I don't know about the weapon loadout per se, I would like to see it have jump jets.

Maybe 1 arm ballistic, 1 arm energy and 4 missiles (2 in each shoulder).

Might be interesting.

That wouldn't really work as it would mimic a regular mech to be put in the game later. Maybe an energy based one with only 6 energy hard points but spread across the shoulders.
