Nobody forces you to play with 3PV or even with players that use it...

You kinda sorta answered your own question. Hardly anybody ever said "I'm not going to play this game because it doesn't have 3PV" but they have said "It's too hard to control the mech" - in other words the learning curve is too steep. The Devs believe 3PV will help newbies learn to control their mechs better and faster, since they can look and actually see where their legs are headed versus where their torso is pointed. Thus the learning curve goes down a bit. Apparently, the directional arrow on the minimap isn't good enough.

None have been created to my knowledge. If I were to create a thread pro 1st person view after 3rd person view is implemented highlighting the pros and cons of each I would be trolled, flamed and spammed with hate-mail from the angry 3,000 minority. It is asinine at best to assume 3,000 people represent 480,000 people. It is absurdly moronic at worst.
Like I said, given what we do know, it would only be logical to assume that if it was a required poll for every player to do, that we would see the insane 90-5-5%s again. You can't assume that it would be different, even though you can say the info is lacking.

Its all much easier: You have fun= you play. You dont have fun= you dont play. I dont understand people that dont play because they are angry at PGI though they still enjoy the game, and I dont understand those that do play without having fun.
Nobody took your money from you, but you gave it freely. If you feel you have been lied to, use better judgment next time around.
This is a game! Its free to play! If somebody had told you 15 years ago MWO was happening FOR FREE, how would you have felt?
Some people really loved this game (like me) and watching it get worse and worse since December and trying my best to offer constructive feedback and make it a better game, getting more and more worse, is just so hard to see. Please trust me, I loved MWO, but its just not enjoyable. I used to only play it, now I can't convince myself to log in because I know it won't be fun whatsoever. That and almost all of my team and the few other teams I've played with have disconnected.
Like above, its fair to say that, literally, losing 95% of the players in teamspeak for 4 teams is not enough of a sample size, but it would be logical to assume that, on a random teamspeak for MWO, it would only be the same thing.

I thought 3rd person and consumables weren't supposed to be in the game. You know how in competitive games how cool shot is used on a lot of mechs (especially hotter ones?). If they do not remain separate, regardless of wanting to use it or not, you will have to use it to get the advantages, like seismic and coolant.

You say it as if it was an intentional change yet Alex has already said it wasn't intentional, see quote below. Can you tell us how the Quickdraw offers a different meta game? We already have a 60T mech, you're adding another jump jetter, which you're trying to tone down so why introduce another, and it also encourages boating with it's hardpoints, also something you're trying to tone down. How is that a different meta? The Orion would have filled a currently empty weight slot, offered a more balanced hardpoint platform which would avoid boating and it doesn't have jump jets, the Orion is the option with the different meta, the Quickdraw only continues the current one.
You guys were upfront about the Flea being delayed due to MASC not being ready, why are you conflicting on the reason for the Orion's delay and being very brief and not giving a detailed explanation?
you miss the point in that statement ...they wanted a Mech with a different Meta than the Orion!...
the only thing that i can see the Gr...Quickdraw has to offer might be a Heavy Mech with ECM...possibly...(not sure if this wouln´t be possible with the Orion though)
all in all, a jumpjetting alphaboater with maybe ECM is what we need more than a lovely 75er... or they just screwed up

Gonna have to call bullsh!t here.
Alex already told us it was because of the order he had drawn the Orthos'. Which I'm sure was an internal miscommunication that people aren't willing to own up to in the community.

i for my part have (with tears) accepted the fact that MWO is going to aim for the masses of people who come in and even don´t really know what it is all about... it misses the chance to become a strong niche game with a loyal fanbase for the opportunity to suck the money out of the "casual crowd"that will be gone the minute that a "better" game shows off in the advertisment window of their browsers,,, and the sad part is - so will i ...
of all the people i know who started and funded MWO last year, there is only a few left who say "well, it´s not what i imagined, but as long as there is not an alternative, i play it..." those people would have been here forever i guess, but i doubt they will
i don´t know who else around here has access to the MWT beta... but i have a bad feeling when i think about "upgrades" and stuff as endgame for MWO...

Crying about 3PV does not belong in here, please use the feedback thread and wait for the first gamplay to experience it yourself!
Player Numbers removal is a good thing.
Look how you all already fear of "splitting the community" and don't want to play anymore because of it... I bet you would just disconnect everytime the number would be too low for your taste! (doesnt matter if its 100, 1000, 9999 or whatever for minds like you)
About "disapointing yet/no/maybe" answers:
WTF do you want instead? No answers? Getting your answer ignored completely instead?
If you are do criticism, remember to be productive and give examples how to improve.

Might want to wipe your nose.
- Is 3PV excluded from CW in the same sense that 3PV was excluded in MWO?
- Additional Text? Yippie...a 2 second typing job.
- Lone Wolves, the game fillers was it ever in doubt they would get their own rewards..else..what would be the point..
- Large merc corps, This is possibly the most positive aspect.
- Manufacturer weapon tweaks - like they plan on collisions, and role warfare, and content.
- Base Capture/Defences - Should have been in from the start, this isn't good, this is sub par that it's taken this long.
- Tonnage - About time again, a feature that should have been in from the get go.
- Ability to see friendly loadouts - again it should have taken 12 months for this.
If people have any kind of reading comprehension they'd see
Hes not arguing from that list of accomplishments.
Hes arguing that the ask the devs gives a good amount of new information. So he lists the new information found in the Q&A.
And honestly where does it get you by being so cynical. Ruining the atmosphere isn't going to get this game to develop any faster. In fact it just makes it worse.
The same reason they don't need a player counter. Because people like you will cry up a sh!tstorm. and god knows that won't help development any. If they numbers drop they can see it themselves and act accordingly. They don't need a bunch of 12 year olds QQing to know they did something wrong.

It is a different game mode.. you will not queue with people that have 3PV enabled (if you don't want to).
There is a big difference between that and consumables.

That's the thing, the player base has already shrank to the point where the small pool is affecting fun. Have you tried 8 mans? last time we did, after a normal wait we played the same team 6 times in a row... 6.
8 man's aside, even when pugging or in small groups, I see the same faces nearly every game. After a week or two of this its no longer fun. Maybe its an ELO issue, maybe not. At the end of the day I can name far more people that have either quit or are taking a break than I can people who are joining or staying.

Who says? The people who said that consumables and 3rd person weren't going to be a part of MWO? The guy who contradicted himself in Ask the Devs 34 to 32? Why would I assume that its going to be separate if it would be better for them to put them together.
Assuming that 3rd person works really well and they need to have more room and more servers, why would they continue to have some for these dumb old sim heads and hardcores when they could just add them together and make the new 3rd person people happier with more people?

I know seriously?
Why is everyone so disappointed that the parents of 16 year olds paying for the game will be fueling a more developed battle-tech experience that we have been yearning for the passed 10 years?
It's like they forget that the devs are avid battletech fans as well.
It's win-win for everyone.

So you get all fuzzed about an assumption based on general mistrust?
Why should they not have room to spare for paying customers?
Also who says that the majority of people will play 3PV?
You don't know that, neither do I..
We just have to wait and see.. no need for doom and gloom yet.

PGI said they would never have something called coolant flush, because it invalidates heat as a game mechanic. Look what we have now.
They also said they never had plans to add 3rd person. Now they do.
They say we are going to have seperate modes for 3rd person and 1st. What happens if either of them never sees enough players, then they will simply integrate them to keep people from either side from leaving.
I Don't trust PGI. I just don't. It doesnt help that they are trying to make people more for a Hero mech than people spend on new Triple AAA releases. DURING A BETA!
