Hi all,

I just tried running Ventrilo in tandem with MWO for the first time. It seems as though Push-To-Talk mode would not work while MWO was running.

Is this a known quirk/issue? Is there a work around? Is this limited to Vent? Do TS or Mumble work better? Or should I just give it up and disable PTT for MWO?

Teamspeak only works when you run it as an admin. I've never tried Ventrilo but I have heard you have to run it as admin as well. (Something to do with MWO being run as admin.)

As Cache suggested run Vent as administrator, this will solve your problem

All is working. We are using Ventrilo for long time. Ventrilo can't work only if you run it with UAC turned ON (and it will not work with any other game, not only MWO). Turn it off, restart your PC and all will be ok.
In case you are thinking UAC is a good function - it's not. Turn it off anyway.

p.s. TS/Mumble/RaidCall < Ventrilo. IMHO.

Sorry to dig up an old thread.

But this fix worked perfectly for Mumble as well. I was having the same issues as OP and sorted them with Run As Admin.
