Alright boys n' girls! I'm back with another build.
After setting up a group render of my latest collection of Omnimechs, I figured I'd finally get to one model I'd been meaning to build for a number of years now. Especially since it shares the same legs as my first Omnimech - The Dire Wolf.
So now I bring you what will become the Warhawk. First identified by House Kurita as the Masakari.
Like always, I start with the basic shape and minor details.
Every single rendition of the Warhawk is missing what would be a vital component to the cockpit detail: The door! So I stuck one on (Will fix it later with one less awkward)..

but at that point in the process it looks like it has a sun visor ( or maybe all warhawks look like they have a sun visor )
but very good work!

That Elemental/Robot thing contains a 2 meter tall, genetically enhanced, lab created infantryman. One of the three Warrior classes of the Clans: MechWarrior, Elemental, and Aerospace Pilot.
I've been told elsewhere that my Warhawk model looks like a Scout Trooper helmet.
Another one of my unfinished projects.

Warhawk C is as munchy as anything out there. Two ERPPCs and two Large Pulse Lasers. Plus a targeting computer comes standard with every variant. On the tabletop game combining the LPL and TC gives you a -3 target number. Plus an uncanny ability to target a specific area on an opposing target that isn't available to most other units.

I like to add more detailing to all of my models. Especially more than the TRO art.
This model is shaping up rather quickly as I haven't had trouble figuring out shape or form with this design.
As you can see, I rebuilt the cockpit hatch, detailed the nose with a sensor suite, and built what I think is a rather large heatsink. I placed the LRM10 near the shoulder for scaling purposes.
More to come.

But that's not all, the cockpit looks great, you are so talented in turning 80's scrap into gold!
I mean, this:

Not too happy with what I have on the rear. I'll work on it some more later on. It just doesn't look...right somehow.
Ah well, I'll figure it out.

Even though the Maskari is probably the ugliest most dis-proportioned mech out there besides the Jenner; the amount of detail in this model brings it to life..

Thank you all! I'm surprised at how quickly I'm getting through this one. The Warhawk is a pretty ugly 'mech. Though I think it looks better than the Gargoyle/Man O' War (hmm...There's another one I haven't done yet). At least for the most part some of its variants are symmetrical in design.
OK, just a quickie for now since I was short on time. The 2x ERPPC arm mount. I used the ERPPC model from my other Omnimech builds. I also replaced the right-hand panel on the rear of the torso that I'll show off in my next set of renders.
Basically all I have left is the upper arm and some final assembly and adjustments.
