I take my hat off to you.
Honestly, I'm not even close to having the skills to use jump jets offensively these days, except with my CPLT-C4 SRM-boat. If there's anyone out there who can actually still poptart successfully with PPCs and Gauss rifles, after the JJ nerf, I stand in awe of your skills. Poptart away with my blessing.

To All You Poptarts Out There...

Poptarts always positively remind me that even though the June patch was bad in terms of balance, it used to be much much worse.

Poptarting is most skilled thing in game.

I'll have to check in the testing grounds, but isn't it still the case that the weapon still fires straight, only the reticle jumps around...?
I'm firing lasers while running and jumping in a Jenner and it's easy enough if you just basically ignore the reticle.

Nope, not at all. Maybe that's the case in training grounds, but not in real matches.

The weapon won't fire straight until shortly after the JJs are off. If you are in close there isn't enough movement to throw your shot too much.

I don't feel guilty killing people in my 732 anymore as long as I'm in the air while it happens. I can finally poptart with pride.

The fun part about it now is that people really dont expect it anymore. The very basic counters that people learned before the nerf have been largely forgotten. In part this is due to the reduction in utility of jump sniping, now its only really effective as a close range ambush tactic, and of course to get away after the shots. People have less time to react or plan around a jump sniper now (assuming hes effective)
Soy had some great videos of post JJ nerf pwnage, I myself cant own up to that level of expertise but I still get some kills while jumping.

Training grounds are the same as the battleground, except the targets dont move.
I just tried it in the Training Grounds. You are right, shots on the way up can skew, which makes an appreciable difference if you're >150m from target.
It's still easy enough to hit things while at zenith or descending, however.
Overall I think the JJ shake is about right in terms of mitigating long distance high alpha snipers.
