Buff brawling weapons (well, to be honest: the SRM), medium mechs get their weapons back, mediums swarm PPC boats, problem solved

You can hear whatever you want man. It matters not to me. I don't like boating and I don't boat. I have two Stalkers mastered and neither one have have a single PPC. I actually run both of them more or less stock, with Endo, DHS and engine upgrades.
But the OPs "solution" is not a solution. I'd love a solution to boating, or high alphas or whatever you want to call them. So I don't think this is one of them... So?
How the hell did you get that I'm whining about losing my crutch? That's a weird thing to get out of my post.
Man...

move PPCs to ballistic hardpoint.
We just pretend that the size of it requires using one of those hardpoints instead.
Bam, balance fixed.

This one almost makes sense, and might well work. You'd have weird side effects, though, like dual AC20 Awesomes and such.
