I'm fairly new to this game and currently dabbling with a Jager DD. I really enjoy using the gauss and I was wondering if there are any optimal Gauss x 2 builds. (Maybe even a single gauss that does well.)
Best Mech/build For Gauss X 2?

I run dual guass in my firebrand, extremely fun and works well if you can keep yourself out of the fray.

Does it have to be gauss? I mean 2 AC20s will put down most things even quicker lol

Ilya, CTF-3D, and my favorite dual gauss - CPLT-K2 - also all can do dual gauss...K2 the rounds come out of your eyeballs and the shots don't "shake" as much using torso mounts instead of arm mounts....ymmv depending on how well you can position yourself to *not* get shot. You can lock your arms in the CTFs, to help keep the rounds on the same section a bit too though, same with the JM6's I suppose.

You ever heard of someone AC/20 sniping?
Yes, I dont need to be 250 meters close to kill you, it does nearly full damage at around 700-750 meters. So in regards to that specific weapon, its "sniping". 2 of them in the use of a patient pilot can be enough to put down several mechs, hell 1 of them and some backup weapons are enough.

i dont' think this is true. ac20 max range is 810m.. i think that's 1/2 damage by 540m already.
jager is great sniping mech and i would stay with it. top mounted weapons so it minimizes hitboxes will sniping over objects. You can go jump sniping route as well.
