Sniper, MPBT Champion

Ya dude, I was a champion playing Yar's Revenge on my Atari 2600.
I figure those skills are gonna pretty much directly translate into this game.

If you've read any other posts of mine, pride has never been my downfall. I've won over $5k in prizes playing online BattleTech games and I'm as cocky as ever, because to be frank, I'm just that good. If I insult the players, they should be more motivated to kill me on the battlefield. Unfortunately, that won't happen as they plan, so I do sympathize with those who would like to kill me but just..... can't.

"i will strip every part of armor off your mechs before killing you if it costs more" that sounds honorable? sounds like being an ******* to me

Griefing would be things such as backstabbing friendlies on purpose, etc, etc. If you want to test yourself against the best you better be prepared to suffer the consequences.

When somebody takes this guy down in game (it will happen, there is always somebody better). Please post any and all tears on the forum. Make sure to include a link to this thread so everyone can get a good laugh.

Tears are fuel for any good "Mechwarrior" after all.

Wait...seriously? You think you're good because you played in older incarnations of the MechWarrior line? Then I am most certain you will fail in this one, as it plays up the ideals of the actual board game upon which it was based. Aside from the novels, there were no 'hero' folk; no one person carried or otherwise won a battle in a game that leaned heavily upon strategic use of assets and maneuvering. If they truly deliver on these aspects as their aims seem to be, no amount of 'leet skills' will keep you from getting rolled so hard.

You are correct to be completely honest, I could come back to this post with my tail tucked between my legs running for the hills... I just hope I have too much pride to let that happen.

Not the older MechWarrior line, the MultiPlayer BattleTech line where everything was cannon. As far as not one person carrying a "battle field", there'd be hundreds of people to disagree with you from the MPBT days.

...ok? An AC 20, with what, it's limited range? Se hello to fire support. Artillery. Aerospace fighter strikes. Your 'skills' won't stand up to strategic assts or thinking.

I totally beat the crap out of Mechwarrior 2 single player and all it's expansions.

Everyone bow to me!

Do I detect a hint of uncertainty in that super-inflated ego of yours?

Those of us that are actually adults and do have Honour know that people like Sniper rarely are adults or have Honour. Since he sounds like the type that will not be part of a team, (he, she, it) will simply be one more target to punish!

MPBT, maybe. I doubt you ever played the boardgame with responses like this. No one was gonna roll everyone they crossed in that carnage. Strategy played a lot into it, and walking into this thinking you're going to dominate everyone means that when you hit your first bout of focus fire, you will very much be eating your words...and swallowing your pride. Despite my experience in the BattleTech and MechWarrior universe, I have no delusions of being some grand hero. I am truly amped on the idea of teamplay and strategy they have introduced to this.

Totally, dude.
I got my joystick ready, and everything.

I'm just hoping that I can afford to play, since I'm going to be paying for the internet by the minute, and dialing up with my 2400 baud modem.

Prepare your soxxors to be roxxored.

You can see my age on my profile. And like I said, I do have honor .. err.. "honour".. and anyone who played with me prior would vouch for that. I'm cocky, I've admitted that, but I'm not disgraceful.
