Seriously, I'm trying build after build in Smurfy, and it's pretty much the exact same builds for the exact same heat efficiency, just with more armor and less speed.

Am I missing something here?

No. These were tortured Jenners... forced to endure stretching tables used in the medieval times until its fat spongy CT becomes acceptable to all of Mech-kind.

Seriously, though, what can I do with a Quickdraw that I couldn't already do with a Jenner, except soak hits?

In theory you could throw an LRM15 + LRM 10 onto it and run it as a missile boat with TAG and some backup medium lasers....

Ok, so you can run a more durable Trebuchet missile build.

But is that seriously the only thing that makes it stand out? Is it just a giant medium laser platform otherwise?

Pretty much. It adds much more to the meta than a well-rounded 75-ton brawler ever could.

It doesn't bring anything new to the table, but it's fun to run.

Current Build

Runs a little warm but you have the speed to bail and cool if necessary. I've also seen several running basically the same thing without the SRMs, but I like them.

Yeah, I try to not be in front of Highlanders whenever I can avoid it.

Still, everyone seems to think it's fun to run, so I'm for it. Maybe I'll try it out at some point.

I put artemis SRM6s and SRM 4s in my quickdraw along with 2 LL cant do that with a jenner. Also max armor and a 340 XL and 4 JJs
