So, the last patch had my ping times just from the mid 100s to 1200-1500. Just played a match with the new patch, and my ping was over 4000 for the duration of the match. Which wasn't long, due to me being killed by mechs I never even saw coming.

What the hell is going on?

Playing on patch day has made my ping increase, wait a couple of hours and try it again.
