I did some searches and turned up nothing for this issue. Maybe I suck at searching. If I do, and this has been discussed before, please forgive me. But anyway, I just got a new computer with a really beefy graphics card. On my old PC I used to play in DirectX 9. On my new PC I decided to go on up to DirectX 11. I've noticed over the course of playing MWO on my new machine that even though I have all graphics options turned up as high as they can possibly go, I no longer see mech's footprints in the snow/dirt and when terrain is shot by a laser I no longer see a decal burn trail where the laser hit the terrain, although I do still see damage glow effects when a laser hits a mech. I've also noticed that as I walk on some maps, shadows will start to appear as I walk as if there is some sort of magical line a few meters in front of my mech that tells the shadows to start drawing there. I switched back to DirectX 9 just to see and footprints and terrain damage has returned as well as shadows drawing properly. I'd really like to use DirectX 11 though. Is this a known issue? Or is it just something with my computer? Any information is appreciated.

EDIT: Uh, so this is even stranger. After testing DirectX 9 and then moving back to DirectX 11 everything is displaying properly now. I'm not certain why that would have fixed it, but it did. So... I guess you guys can delete or archive this thread or whatever you want to do with it.
