PGI just owned alot of the negative kiddies who whine on these forums daily about lack of classic mechs.

Yea, instead they create a money grab aimed at those on the forums (the battletech fans, or those sitting on the side-lines), to cover up the fact they missed their own 'Sarah' mech deadline... dev's don't talk to this community anymore through the forums but all the social media. God knows how much is missed, and considering some of the recent tweet's I'm not holding high opinions of them at present.

I have the feeling PGI is starting to run dry, so what they do is find someway where they can milk us another 5mil that can be given back to IGP. We'll see what happens then, whether this community will finally recieve the content promised for the last few months or whether PGI will continue to withhold content without explanation (which if they provided would probably go over better then they assume).

A business can't live on bread alone; needs a little crumpet to keep it going.

It works out to be a phoenominal deal when you add up all the MC for premium and mechs, and you'll still be able to get the non-Phoenix mechs with c-bills, so I'm completely fine with it. They can cash grab all they want, but if they make decent money out of it, and IGP sees fit to give the devs a slice, then all the more power to them.

It's a good deal. For as much time as I've played in this game, it's absolutely worth it. More cost-effective than my kids' PS3 games, that's for sure.

As for Sarah's mech, it will happen, but they have to make money first and foremost or the rest won't matter.

Wouldn't the bigger money grab have been to release them individually as hero mechs?
