My original unit was the right people but the wrong faction. For there sheep like socialistic lemming path however, they were doomed to fail. As you can imagine, the "blue devils" (cough) are no longer dropping. After escaping back to freedom and a well deserved vacation from war, I am ready to serve yet again. I am in need however of a good unit to drop with. I am looking for the following:

1. A clan built around good people with good attitudes. Competitive AND fun, not Competitive and Aggressively stressful. Old farts are a plus. 30+ in age for its core would be outstanding.

2. Not mech restrictive. That being said, open about helping with build designs, just not REQUIREing just a handful of Mech and Mech builds to drop.

I would say I am an average to above average player. Not the best, but not bad. I am sure I have room to learn. Always seemed to do ok in drops with my previous clan. In PUG's I feel I could be better. I am sure we all do. After spectating maybe I am not bad at all. LOL So I am looking for a clan that is not ONLY looking for the best, but DOES play as if they were. (communicating and focus firing).

I tend to like to roll as a "Support Brawler/Skirmisher" if that makes any sense. Not sure if its the right term to use. I basically like to backup other mechs and focus fire with something that hits hard as hell like an AC/20 or Alpha Laser Boat, and then duck out if i can. I have not tried all Mechs (notably the newest) but I tend to lean Mediums. So far my favorite's tend to be Cent's and Hunchies with AC/20.

I have been into MMO's since day one. Normally RPG's but I have recently been huge into this and tanks. I have played just about every Mechwarrior title ever released on PC with Mechcommander actually being my favorites.

30+ for core pilots tends to bring up the issue of how you define competitive. I'm not one to hassle someone for real life commitments but I'll be the first to say mine keep me from being truly competitive in my opinion, however the members of my unit that I drop are very competent, likewise with other units w/in the FWLM at www.house-marik.net

I will go out on a limb and say Marik is spoiled by it's choices of organized units. I will also make the completely unsubstantiated claim that we have more competitive units then any other house. ;)

MGA and 25MM are both great groups with cool pilots!

If there isn't a specific unit you're wanting to join, I'd definitely say head over to http://www.house-marik.net and get signed up. That way, you'll be able to say hi to a bunch of different units and get to know them, so you can find out which one (or ones) seem to jive with your personal style and which ones don't.

Ondude389,

Just head to the http://www.house-marik.net site and look around. If you feel you want to join the FWLM community, click on the Join FWLM tab on the top. The process is quick and your approval is almost immediate. There is no need to stay on other forums, as if you want to stay within this MWO forum, that is fine.

Keep an eye on your PM for teamspeak info.

In the end, you will not need to join a specific unit within the FWLM community. There are plenty to choose from, but in the end, we all drop together. There are several members within the community that are more than happy to help you drop with others of your same house. You will find quickly that there are plenty of friends to make over here.

Any of the units in Marik are a good bunch of guys, I've played with MGA and DR and they are top notch. IG is more towards casual and a smaller unit.

If you play late night PST(11pm - 1:30am), hit me up since we usually have 1 free spot in the lance.

Just join the site above in Stingr4y's post and hop on the teaspeak server. We're a friendly group.

We don't use a Mumble server at this time, we have a large TS3 server and it's worked great for us so far.
