Your thoughts?

The cockpit looks weird was my first impression. Then, it's the barrel of missiles on the right torsos, something similar to the HBK-4J.

Anyone going to buy the Guardian Package? Maybe it's much better than the Talon package.

This thing is going to boat ppc and guass.

But I'm doing

XL315
AC20 (IF it will fit, if not guass)
4 ML
2 srm6

or

XL300
Guass
3ML
1PPC
2srm6

Well they need to give paying customers a way around the heat nerf for multiple weapons so there ya go.

Wow, that cockpit is really far off to the left, it really makes me wonder where the hit boxes are for the different torsos. Also that huge missile tube thing makes it look like a larger Hunchback which is going to lead to people shooting out that torso first. I don`t think that XL engines will very good on this chassis.

It looks like it will be better off as a brawler with a standard engine to increase endurance. Pilots will have to load a variety of weapons to avoid being vulnerable to being crippled with the loss on one side torso or arm.

Heh, the first picture IMO looked like a giant machine gun barrel.

Do want, but it appears to be a missile barrel instead :<

Always has been a missile barrel. Even in the original anime it came from.

I wonder if there is such thing as a AC/# machine gun. I recall there was a footage of an Atlas holding a machine gun on it's right hand, forgot what video that was.

Do want.

Anyone else notice the "A-10" on the shoulder?

Doubtful there will be space for AC20, as much as I would love that. Too many actuators.

YES! THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THE SUMMONER!

IF THERE IS A VARIANT THAT HAS NO HAND ACTUATORS AND STILL HAS BALLISTIC HARDPOINTS IN ONE ARM AND ENERGY IN THE OTHER I WILL **** MY PANTS!

Also, my inner Hunchback screamed:

It is tremendously, gratuitously, and flagrantly ugly- and I love it! This is truly 'Thud Ugly', in the best way possible. It should pilot really weird with the offset torso as well. I'm really glad this is coming out, because I do not care for the Orion, and this thing should mount a very similar jack of all trades build.

Got the Guardian just for the Tbolt ... I'll play the Shadowhawk and I will take the Locust for a spin once, but I've always loved the Thunderbolt.

I have no idea how I'll run it because the meta MIGHT be different by then. I don't play competitively, so I'll probably have a somewhat balanced build.

edit: I also foresee this mech getting my "Mardi Gras" paint scheme. :(

My pilot by the same name in Battletech drives a Thunderbolt.

He has reaped a red harvest in it.

Doesn't exist Seph. Sorry. I checked. All variants ever released for the T-Bolt have hand actuators on both sides.

BUT you can at least walk around and pretend it's a Summoner until the real one is released. :(

Looks BOSS though. And of course I WILL drive more than one.

What's intersting to me is it looks like a bigger centurian(the huge side torso-shoulder area compared to the CT) minus the CT hardpoints. You could possibly do a really effective half zombe build protecting your 3 energy slot LT with the huge missle rack assisted RT. Would play like a smaller heavy class awesome, which in the hands of a good awesome pilot would be really effecive.
