Cockpit shots for kills is frowned upon, doing the least amount of damage for a clean kill is bad.

Played one game in each category I can (don't own any Jagermechs or Quickdraws, yet) just to see how many people have opted in and also played in each weight class ... as of now, these are my rankings after one game:

Like Kaffee Angst play in Highlander 3 plc 1 gauss vor a hunch with 8 m laser.

You need talent for sure... But it only shows the broken system oft boating pinpoint weapons.

My Highlander HGN-732 build: 3x PPC/1x Gauss isn't going to be affected by the coming changes to "alpha" builds - no additional heat penalties.

For the Medium class I'm using a Centurion CN9-A (3x SRM 4/2x Medium Laser) and a Centurion CN9-D (2x SRM 6/2x Medium Laser). Both styles of gameplay being used, brawling/sniping. SRM's in the current state are far from powerful.

It doesn't matter, I could use LRM's and it'd make no difference, but I prefer to do the aiming myself.

last tournament i played [spring clean em up], i finished 6th in heavies in final standings
tonight, as i wind down my play session of evening 1, i sit currently in 7th in cataphracts

lol, someone try and tell me tournies aren't public elo hehe

Amen... I've dropped with the light leaders of Banana and Peef quite a few times today and seen Desist in his dragon, and quite a few other high rank players. Even Soy at some points. You know you're doing well if you're consistently seeing various leaderboard players.
