hmmm ok, this is the first time this has happened to me since i started playing back in jan...
I wasnt aware I could take an engine crit without the section being destroyed. Will keep that in mind in the future.

You cannot take engine criticals, that was a joke - kind of.
In the TT game all your components could be taken out. Engines, gyros, actuators etc. Each one that was damaged would make the performance of your mech worse as it collapsed around you.
Engines could be destroyed with 3 critical hits which is why XL engines are so dangerous, lose your side torso and you lose 3 engine criticals and so you are destroyed.
PGI has not included engine criticals in the game but the picture makes it look like they have was all.

wasnt anything like that, if you look at the screen shot you will see I was destroyed via the engine by another player with plenty of internal structure and a lot of armor left... there was no ammo explosion, no overriding of shutdown .. it was plain and simple fighting and poof.. what you see is what you get.

Engines can not *yet* be damaged independently from the Internal sections.

that makes a bit more sense but you are color-blind... thats not deep red its light orange bro...
the text for "engine destroyed" is deep red, the arm is medium red. but eh whatever.. perhaps you are right about it not updating properly...
I knew people with low pings were now being penalized =/

they arent eaiser to take out via hps, it due to the fact that you have 3 kill locations rather than 1.

So chances are your mech could still be targeted by the enemy if they pressed R and it would pop up that you were alive when you were really dead.
Its like a lag kill echo. Its hard to explain.
