NEW BUG?
A few minutes ago in an assault game with even 4 of us on enemy base no cap could be performed, no enemies ANYWHERE around it , none hiding atop tower, no enemies.
It could not toggle red, not announce, not tick. even if all left and reenterred.
yet... the other team later on could easily capture our base.
I took multiple screenshots, and took screenshot of list of players in case any was running a griefing exploit in client code or anything like that.
I am semi new and only played a month, but never heard of this new bug, and saw no notice in the known issues list.
Its a fun game, but this bug made me and my friends stop playing for the day in sadness. Too broken. Though the prior 30 to 40 games in this session did not have this bug.
Fun and awsome game to play, all the same.

This is an old but rare bug, it usually appears in Conquest mode.

The reason it's doing that, I'm fairly sure, is that the game thinks one of the enemy 'Mechs is still standing in their base blocking your capture. At least twice, one of my teammates killing an enemy 'Mech fixed it so that it was possible to capture again.

It's sad that PGI has not addressed this virtually gamebreaking bug... even if it doesn't occur as often as it should.

This is an old bug. The game thinks that one of your teammates is an enemy mech for the purposes of capturing. When this happens, everyone should get off of the base and run in one after the other to see which one is in the bugged mech. On the other end of the spectrum, the bugged mech is able to capture a friendly base as well... go figure.

Iv been seeing this bug alot, but most recently was hitting kappa on canyone network. Enemy had got it and we went there, me and a hunchback standing on the point and no enemy in sight, the little laser lines flashed yellow. (which I presume means it thought a enemy was still there). Luckily our team was fast enough to crush the other team before they could outscore us in resources.
