Has anyone suggested adding in a static Pilot death threshold if a yet to be determined amount of of heat is met or passed? Just for thought.

Woo-hoo for four sentence suggestions!

Unless they have an Advanced Life support System Module of course. Prevents Red Outs and Sweating :P

absolutely. heat in the game is far to generous, and is the core reason for the entire big alpha/ppc/boating issue we see now. cutting the heatcap, adding insta death for going to hot, and giving brawlers more dps ability in close over snipers are the biggest issues the game is facing. PGI has to toughen up and crack down on the heat issue, the handholding, over 100% ability is a massive problem.

Can't agree more. I've been ranting(If you can call it ranting) on this issue for a while. I had proposed scale up to 200% with 101% being the start of penalties. I still like my Death at 200% no matter what.

But, in all they're just suggestions, I'm good with nearly anything that works. I just don't like heat penalties <100%

Yes, proper heatscale and having your pilot "shut down" or black out while the mech is moving.

Would be fun to see a mech lumbering in a random direction because the pilot had a blackout.

There is no benefit to staying at low heat right now. It's always better to ride your head to the maximum limits as soon as you engage or you'll fall behind in damage.
