I know that the formula is listed on the opt-in page, but it doesn't seem to explain the recent score I got.

I was playing in a light for the first time since the tournament began, and got 1 kill, 6 assists, and about 300 damage. There were others on my team who did about the same amount of damage as I did.

According to the formula, which is:

Kills × 20 + Kill Assist × 15 + (Damage Done – Team Damage) ÷ 30 + Wins × 20 + Loss × 10 + Survive × 20 + Dead × 10

I should have:

20 + 6 x 15 + (0) ÷ 30 + 20 + 20 = 150

I got one kill, which gave me 20, 6 assists, which gave me 90, and my team won with me living, which gives me two 20's. I didn't get more damage than the combined damage of my team, so I treat that as zero.

On the score page, however, I have a score of 158. Where did the extra 8 points come from? Does damage factor in differently than the way I thought? Because with the way it's written, it seems to be saying that you need to get more damage than your team in order for your damage to contribute to your score.

Do they mean lance damage rather than the damage of your entire team? Are you supposed to divide team damage by 30 before subtracting it from your damage? I'm confused about it, so hopefully someone can shed some light on the subject for me.

Damage divided by 30. 300 damage = 10 points.

If you hit your teammates, it is negative damage. Total damage is (Damage Done – Team Damage)

Team damage doesn't mean damage that the team accumulated, team damage = the damage that you did to the team.

Should be called "friendly fire damage."
