is this game available on Macbook Air running OS X 10.8.4?

Yes the game itself is Windows only but I've read that it wiil run on a Mac if you install Windows on it using Boot Camp.
I don't own a Mac so I can't be of more help than pointing you in this direction, good luck.

What Zeratul says is true. Keep in mind that Macs are not really designed for gaming anyway and the processor-intense MWO may run sluggishly, especially on a "Macbook," "Notebook," and generally most laptops.

Be aware that the Air will likely not provide a good experience. Its low-power graphics card is not designed for GPU-intensive games like MWO. A MacBook Pro or an iMac would be a safer bet.
