System:

Windows 8 64-bit
AMD FX-8120 Eight-core processor 3.1 ghz
8 gb RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6670

My computer will sometimes freeze when playing MWO (so far, the freezes have only occured for this game. I crash to desktop sometimes, but it is far more common for me to freeze. I don't think this is related to the NVIDIA SLI problem. If MWO/PGI/Mod wants my .DMP file, I'd be perfectly willing to send it. My drivers are updated.

The freeze requires that I restart my computer. Even ctrl+alt+del will not work.

I'd just like any ideas. Is it Windows 8? My drivers not compatible with Win 8? MWO? GPU?

My drivers are fully updated. Also, do you also get this every 5-10 games? That's about my average.

it seems to be always the same error when I crash:

============================ PrepareLevel rivercity ============================
Initializing default materials...
[Error] [UIAction] HUD (0): UIElement does not have object _root.mcMain.mcCurrentLayout.mcSpecHud.SetName

I've already emailed support about this problem. It's been in existance for a couple months now, and nothing seems to fix it if you have it. It first started for me when I bought my new Radeon HD 7950. Reinstalled windows and everything, still happens.

Still no fix for this ******** problem. This is a WHOLE SYSTEM CRASH, this should be the number one priority right now.

It is not wide spread and to fix it they have to be able to reproduce it internally.

If you have read the post about one of their coders, he did a great writeup what they did when tracking down the hub/UI issues.

I also experience freezes every 10-20 games. Everything just stops and I also hear constant sound from speakers. Only hard reset allows me to reboot my PC.

I have
Q6600@3Ghz (rock stable tested in many programs for example Linpack)
4GB RAM (tested in memtest86)
Win7 x64
Radeon4850 512MB with latest drivers. (GPU does not overheat - checked in RadeonPro)

I also think that this issue must related with latest patch.
