Looking forward to give my Phoenix Mechs a try.
So how do the battlefields look? Full of Phoenix Mechs?

On the promo page for Phoenix, all the Pheonix variants have sweet decals on them. Will these decals be released for the mechs with UI 2.0 or whenever decals actually work in-game? Because if yes, then AWESOME, and if no, then SAD PANDA....
I rarely get involved in the forums but I feel compelled to take a moment to voice my disappointment in the Phoenix mechs and vent a little bit. Your promo page made all four mechs look a LOT better graphically than what we actually received. Lipstick on a Pig? I don't even recognize the Shadowhawk. Looks nothing like on the promo page and the Battlemaster looks very different as well. I feel a little blindsided. I don't appreciate you offering something that you don't intend on giving. Is there something wrong with putting the actual mechs we're going to get on the promo page? I'm just cheesed off about the deception and I'm trying to decide if I'm upset enough to get my money back. I quoted Chaz because of his comment on the decals.

Its not even funny how pathetic I think this company is now that I finally got to see the mechs ingame... I had to double check the name of the ugly thing that actually turned out to be my Battlemaster... There is a reason they showed only the concept art on their page - there is no way in hell I'd had paid that much for such pieces of virtual ****. I feel as if PGI has spit right into my face right after taking my money... There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY I'd support this crappy company with ANY of my money EVER again!

You say that now, but you've already bought both Legendary and Overlord and I'm sure PGI's already drafting up their next ~$100 package for you to eat up once you forget why you were upset in the first place. Like it or not, PGI's found a profitable target demographic and that target demographic will continue to give them money out of nostalgia and hope. Whether or not you're finally upset with the direction the game's been going, there are replacements, and the game is going to remain profitable whether or not it becomes more balanced, competitive, or high-stakes.

But I have 2 questions /minor gripes that I haven`T been able to find answers to so far....
1 (gripe): I fully expected the numbers "decals" to be part of the camo scheme, what gives?
2. (question): I have overlord, as such I have the Flame pattern and colors for the 4 variants currently in game. But what`s the story on the saber reinforcements? Do I also have the flame pattern for those when they get implemented despite not having Saber? Or do we only have the unlocks for the chassis we actually purchased, meaning I would have to unlock them with MC?
Part of me assumes that we all got it for all of the 6 chassis because it would be much less db hassle (One global unlock for all phoenix purchasers regardless of pack so they all get the exact same "extra swag" vs setting numerous individual unlocks for each purchase), but I also see the fairness in for ex. talons and guardians with saber not having the unlocks for `Bolts and `Masters, too... Both ways have merit.
I`d just like a bit of clarification on the actual status quo, as it may influence my (and other`s) purchase of a saber (or Storm /Overlord) upgrade...

1) The decal system is not implemented yet. Kinda hard to have decals when there's no system to put them in place yet. Also, it was never actually confirmed that the decals shown were actually decals or just part of the concept art.
2) AFAIK, the 'free' HotRod patterns are only for the standard variants that you purchased through Project: Phoenix. If you bought the Saber package you should get it on the WVR and GRF chassis for free, but if you just buy the WVR or GRF individually when they become publicly available (February/March) you will have to buy the HotRod pattern for those chassis separately.

This is my only question too. Besides the cockpit prison bars on the Phoenix Locust I'm happy with the launch. For $80 dollar you got all this.
Pro's: (based on 240 MC/dollar at 49.95 package level)
12 Mech bays of which 9 are reusable. (@ $15.00 value)
4 Months of premium time if you bought during early bird special. (at 12.50/per month- $50)
4 Hero mechs (18000+MC to buy separately, thought not for sale. @ $75.00)
6 Colors (3 premium 3 normal. 4500 MC - $18.75)
That's $158.75 for $80.00 and access to all 12 mechs at one time and provided operating revenue for the game to develope.
Oh and I forgot flame pattern x4 at $12.50. For a total of 171.25. Nice!

The Phoenix Faction medals are the only cockpit decoration that gives loyalty currently. The Phoenix variants will also give a loyalty bonus, like the champion and hero mechs give cbill bonuses. Loyalty has not been implemented yet, though, so they don't matter too much. Bryan or Russ did mention that they had the capability to give loyalty retroactively once it is implemented, but I am not counting on that happening personally.
