Sorry m8, 8 'Mechs would cost a weeeeee bit more than $14.

Mostly cause mechs in MWO cost a insane amount of real money if you go that route. Hero mech prices I can sorta understand, standard issue mech variant MC prices are pure lunacy.

Maybe I'm missing something but all regular Mechs can be bought with C-bills, which only cost your playtime.

Are the other 8 Mechs not only for c-bill purchase?

Even if they charged $5 bucks per (which you can't argue isn't an unreasonable price), still would be more than $14. Heck, even if they only charged $2 per mech, regardless of tonnage, it would still cost more to buy them. AND you would still have to get the 'Mech bays to hold them.

Do with your money as you see fit. I am not trying to pursuade you in any way, but I see this as a good deal.
(I do agree that the game does still need work, though.)

Pretty sure you can buy them w/ c-bills. Point I was making is they are included in the package, and they do have a monetary value associated with them.

(I do agree that a good many of them are overpriced.)

Agree time can = $ and I'm not saying Phoenix is a bad deal... I just don't want to wait until October.

Would you rather wait even more for the normal variants? In the Battlemaster's case, three months extra?

You left out that for each 'Mech listed, you also get 2 variants +'Mech bays.

Previously did the maths. $180 value for the overlord package. Include mech bays and the additional variants. Based on average MC price of 2000mc per mech (taking into account the light-medium-heavy-assault) difference in price.

By the outline of the mech, it's going to have these shoulders. Also, will have the Right Hand gun as well.

Yeah, this is what I was thinking, and I approve, I really liked that redesign of the original. I'm hoping we get something along the lines of both. The redesign as the Hero variant, and an original-style concept for the standard variants.

I just noticed the "A-10" written on the Thunderbolt.

Thank you for that. You win at mech art.

To be more accurate, the Thor (Summoner) looks like a Thunderbolt...the mech it was based off of.

Of course. It's great the resemblance is there - but that it still looks like a predecessor rather than a successor. And it IS Summoner to us..

One can only marvel at what the MWO take on Clan Tech may look like, based on this. I'm excited.

cant believe you will have to wait like 2 or 3 months to be able to get the battlemaster unless you buy the big package...pay to win much?

Some of you really need to figure out what pay to win actually means...

That's extremely likely for the Battlemaster. The spiked shoulders for the Phoenix version and the smooth shoulders for the standard.

Woot!

So much for the people who said "We will never see those 'Mechs in game."

Predicting Phoenix Package II:

Phoenix Hawk
Crusader
Warhammer
Marauder

Locust looks a wee bit funky, but Shadow Hawk and Thunderbolt are easily recognizable. Battlemaster's silhouette looks classic too. Just from the artwork and stats posted, looks like Locust will get the most playing time from me, with Thunderbolt coming in second.

I just dont understand why we're using the Locust 1V which is a lighter version of the Spider. This mech has no prayer considering the speed cap, loadout not withstanding...

I think I'll wait for Phonenix 2.

I never really liked the Shadow Hawk and Thunderbolt (nasty mishmash of weapons), the Locust was the best Light but is a bit pointless in MWO and the Battlemaster was not my favourite Assault. In any case the price tiers are horrendously business-driven rather than appealing to me as a customer.

I'd have perhaps considered the Battlemaster alone...

Bring on the Marauder, Warhammer, Rifleman, Archer, Phoenix Hawk, Griffin, Wolverine - basically anything from the original lineup of that you skipped here!

I paid my 80. This is the greatest Mechwarrior game ever! I have been waiting for a game like this since Mechwarrior 2.

According to Sarna, the first variant of the Locust that is able to go past 150kph is still 21 years away from now. So if PGI does not break their "stick to the timeline", you have quite a wait on you.

No? Coz omnimech and we don't get a clan invasion in the foreseeable future.

They were not skipped, they are not available. You should read up about Reseen vs. Unseen.
