Don't worry, a bunch of the founders enjoyed getting ****** in the *** so much the first time they will happily bend over and take it in the rear a second time. You'll get your money from these rubes, don't you worry Kurita.

Funny cuz my butt feels fine and my pants didn't even come down. I think you must have read that one biased article about how you should always be wearing about pre-orders and that anything you buy early ends with absolute remorse and self pity. It's quite the opposite for me, I love my atlas, I love my Jenner, i love my catapult, hunchback not so much but that's okay, and I got a plethora of bonuses. Anyone who complains about the founders is a sad soul indeed. And so that is why I bought this deal again. ;) The game is fun for me, and that is what counts, and that's what keeps me buying.. Nothing wrong with that, ma'am.

I just have to grab the Battlemaster and Thunderbolt.

I hope everyone is aware that only the 4 Project Phoenix mechs will not be up for sale anymore after the deal ends.
They are exactly like founders mechs.

The same three variant will be available without the bonus cbills/loyality and will be released for cbills as usual at the dates shown in the FAQ.

Just sayin in case someone thought this is the only way to get one of those four mech chassis.

I know the FAQ says that the Locust will be available to everyone on October 15 (with the other 'mechs being doled out in the months afterward), but where does it say that Project Phoenix purchasers get everything on the same date?

From the FAQ:

The Phoenix buyers get everything at once. But they will only release the secondary variants to the non-purchasers on those dates. They say it right in the answer you quoted. I'll paraphrase the quote.
"A: For those who do not Buy a Project Phoenix Package - The Standard Variants release schedule is currently set as:"

For those who do not buy the package, everyone else must wait for these dates below in order to access these mechs. Those who did buy the package, will receive all contents on oct. 15th. (so, even if you don't like the 4B, 1E, locust, you can play the other two variants. It's just the one they advertise has the fancy bonuses and custom geometry to it.)

Yep, it's just you were calling it getting r4ped, but it's not r4p3 if you want it and enjoy it. ;)

I'm torn. On one hand it's an amazing deal. On the other it's a shameless cash grab. I mean we gave you $5 million dollars with the Founders package and what do we have? We've got 2 game modes (+1 since the founders program), 10 maps (+5-6 since founders) and 17 mechs (+8 from founders). Which to me isn't $5 million dollars worth of content.

To be fair a very significant portion of the founder programs money was thrown at Mechwarrior: Tactics and IGP's doomed attempt at the LoL/DotA market Sins of a Dark Age.

Which isn't particularly encouraging when it comes to giving them more money, but you can't really blame Piranha for not spending funds they never had.

$80.00 again?

Im sure the Founders are happy.

Tell IGP I said they can all suck a big D.

Btw, read the blurbs on the facebook page for the real reaction...to many fanbios posting here.

Q: When will the Standard Variants be purchasable with C-bills or MC?

Nov 20, 2013: Shadowhawk
Dec 18, 2013: Thunderbolt
Jan 22, 2014: Battlemaster

I cant wait when players who QQ'd about the offer come back in November, December and January to complain its not fair they dont have the mechs, but the phoenixites do! ;)

Hey a 55 ton mech with JJ and decent speed? Ok, I'll buy it.
Hey a 65 ton mech based off the old thunderbolt? Cool enough for my money.
Hmmm a locust meh, whatever, I'm sure I'll climb in the old garbage can with guns just for laughs every now and then since I get it along with my others.
I used to loves me a battlemaster and the T-bolt, and the 'Hawk but these mechs aren't them. Ok sure their load out is about right and they bear the right names but I always hated the re-seen designs. Still, if there's one thing PGI is good at it is making ugly mechs look cool so I'm gonna trust their design team to un-ugly these old favorites and with my $80 spent I look forward to cursing my new rides. I have supported this game through thick and thin and I'm not gonna stop now just because the game balance is terribad and SRMS suck and hit detection is hosed and ... and ... all the rest. They'll get it right, I still have faith in pgi for this, but I'm going to yell at them along the way just to be helpful.

If you've actually looked at the Project Phoenix TRO artwork, you can tell from the silhouettes that these look nothing like those (thank god)

I'll take the MWO versions any day.

Sorry, I'm only going to focus on this part of your post.

Because this was the first thing that went through my mind, well actually, it was wtf didn't they give us the Griffin instead of that Shadowhawk?! But, seriously, I'm really hoping to see the Griffin and Wolverine now.

Also, what interests me most about the package is sure we get the unique camo pattern and colours. But Limited Edition Geometry! Does that mean the standard variants might look more like their original 'Crusher Joe' and 'Fang of the Dougram Sun' designs?

Right now i am at a point where its get new mech basic 3 then elite/master the variant(s) I want to keep. I'm interested in this sale, still will wait, have a month till I lose the bonus and till Friday for all the reveals of what the heroe variants have. Also that I will have up to 12 new mechs to play with right out of the box in addition to the other benefits, 4 new heroes included. Like I posted earlier just hope if I buy this I can sell the standard variants later keeping the mechbay for another mech.

If it's any consolation, you can make a SuperGriffin out of a Quickdraw. The antennae remind me of the old Griffin

No, it will be funneled to other IGP projects like MW:T and Sins of a Dark Age, just like a good chunk of the founders money was.

I want the Griffin and Wolverine too, I hope we get them someday. At least this news gives me hope that we probably will. As far as the unique geometry I'm sure its going to be like the Founder's mechs. Founders mechs actually look slightly different from regular mechs but the difference is fairly small so most people don't notice, my guess is that they will do the same thing here.
