While MM is struggling with the issues of weight mismatching, certain mech variants are reduced to niche status as their role are obsolete. While a HBK-4G has a mean cannon, it has to meander across a battlefield in order to get into range to deal damage in an enviroment filled with PPC and Gauss cannons.

What I do propose is that there should be a split for MM where one group heavily favors lights/medium with an occasional heavy/assault. The group will be opposite as the lighter mechs must be sacrificed to appease the gods.

I feel this way would bring out more even matches between their repective classes as the light/mediums can dogfight and the other group can undergo attrition warfare.
