Okay, sarcasm to a compliment I payed both of you. Why thank you!
Yes, as I stated, in my personal "narrow minded" opinion the characters portrayed, not the Mechs' have a Japanese anime feel to them, once again, to me personally. If you take offence to my compliment and personal viewpoint, then you sir, are a douche.
To each his own, dude. I'll continue to follow your work because I really dig it, but as not to possibly offend you I'll be sure not to post my personal opinion. I would dislike to receive further sarcastic remarks for paying you a compliment (le sigh).
Happy hunting folks <S>

Manga, actually. Anime is "Animated". Manga is static comic strip.
and a Mango is a tasty tropical fruit. Though that would not be part of a topical discussion. Though it may be found in a topical lotion.

Haircuts that conform to military regulations? No in my Battletech universe sir. Haircuts and helmets that conform to practicality? Only when not overruled by the Rule of Cool.

My fault for poorly phrasing a "mock annoyance" reply. I really do thank you for your interest and support for this work and hope we can avoid the kind of toxic confrontations that internet forums tend to degenerate into. Speaking as a longtime anime and Sci-Fi fan (Evangelion CHANGED MY F**KING LIFE) I took no offense to your statement and am actually quite honored to have all of you contributing to this discussion. That being said, a bit of good-natured ribbing is to be expected here (Bishop Steiner and I had a lovely "spat" about a page ago, the damned merc b@stard) but I obviously shouldn't have been so recklessly dismissive to a compliment without forewarning that such dismissals are entirely in jest.
Again. I am profoundly grateful that you would be willing to go so far not only to comment on this work, but compare it to a media form that shows incredible power. Thank you.
Seriously. The last thing I want to come off as is a douche. I offer my sincerest apologies and a great big flask of mead to you.
Friends?

Hey now. There is a perfectly valid reason for the "Tactical Emo Hairflip" here. I'm still waiting to see if anyone wants to guess it, though.

I went overboard myself and truly appreciate you taking the time to address my point of view, and you're a big man for apologizing for something that you shouldn't have had to... I hope you know I don't think you're a douche, it was a dumb statement to mean that if you object with someone's personal opinion then that's what I "would" think of you, or anyone else. However, you have humbled me and, once again, if anyone deserves an apology it should come from me to you.
I will definitely reply and quote your reply sometime tonight on the forums. I can admit when I am wrong, and I feel I was certainly more in the wrong than you were, Sirdubdub. You made a simple jest with no bad intent. I took a small jest and turned it into a personal attack which I apologize for to your personally my good man. A flask of mead indeed!
Best of luck in your future endeavors, and once again I can't thank you enough for being a bigger man than myself.
Happy hunting! <S>

oh and note taken concerning the differences between anime and manga. I'm going back to my flask and mead and remember not to take anything too seriously, especially a forum post.

But yeah, she's probably about my size or even bigger/taller considering, you know, space viking blood.
Come to think of it, weren't we all about four feet tall a thousand years ago? How tall would the battletech human be if we kept growing at this rate through the years?
