I agree with the above statements, it is entirely two different promotions.
I am however VERY displeased that Founders are getting the shaft. This promo gives you more bang for the buck and the original Founders package gave you half of what this promo is.
PGI continues and continues to shaft the people who got them where they are today. Not to mention that we Founders are STILL here after all of the b.s. and now...this. What a complete slap in the face.

how are they giving us founders the shaft? we got what we paid for, now there is another promotion, founders are allowed to purchase it as well.
for instace, two years ago i purchased a four wheeler, now this years model is cheaper and with more features, now i don't feel like i was shafted because if i would have waited two years and got one now it would be better. it's just the way it goes man.
personally i love the new content

Q: What type of added benefit will existing Founders receive upon purchase of any Project Phoenix package?
A: Great news for Founders, as a purchase of any of these packs will reward Founders with a unique and exclusive hanging cockpit item displaying their specific Founder's tier in the item's design.

Hell yes! of course!

after you pay for them, why shouldn't you get them like the others, only because you bought the first package? There should be no limitation how many packages you may buy.

i don't think you know whats going on

This promotion definitely ****** all over the founders. UNLESS they somehow worked out how to give a bonus or discount to founders buying into this new cash grab by PGI.

I'd appreciate having that Faction Loyalty bonus applied to the Founder mechs (cuz really, how loyal do you have to be to still be hitting the field in those??), but other than that, I say nope.

I think we should be able to buy the thing with MC. I have like $70 of MC just sitting there, I don't want to spend much of it cause most of the MC purchases besides sale colors and mech bays are terrible investments.

No we shouldnt.

We got the products we paid for back in the day and nothing more. There was never a little text saying that founders will automatically get more benefits as the game progresses.

We paid and received the goods. Nothing more nothing less. Thats it.

Take their current founder mechs, and give them away with the new founders, so they have to do what they do best and pay up.

As a non-Founder, I'd like to see the Founder 'Mechs get a C-Bill boost above what current Heroes and Phoenix 'Mechs have. Honestly, given that they spent money on the game before it existed, I feel like a 40-45% boost is entirely acceptable on their Founder Battlemechs. (Edit: Or give the Founder 'Mechs a larger Loyalty boost than Phoenix 'Mechs. Because the Founders that are still here are more loyal than any new player.)

Or just let them buy all the new 'Mechs with C-Bills on day 1 of release, if you really want to give them a Project Phoenix-related perk.

YES! Absolutely founders should get these. Every one of us should shell out $80 for the overlord pack and continue to represent. FOUNDERS UNITE!

Oh umm is that not what you meant?

Greedy much?

Dude, seriously: no. Just no, ok? Why would you even ask? Stop embarrassing us.

BTW, I lead by example: I have already bought my overlord pack

I am Legendary Overlord Alymbic, and I say I had no issue with paying an extra $80 for this.

As Founders, we got what we paid for, so I'm not really sure what the issue is. I'm most likely going to pick up one of the Project Phoenix packages as well; personally I think they look like a pretty good deal. Those Founders who aren't interested in the Project Phoenix packages or mechs can stick with what they've got. I don't see having more options as a bad thing, and I certainly don't think it's a problem to offer packages like this, particularly because it gives people who missed out on the Founders packages something to get in on.
