Catapults fired lasers beside me about 200m away comes from both sides, the only difference is that the sound that I hear is quieter.
Mechs that run beside me or in front of me all sound the same.
As a last attempt, I've downloaded Razer Surround to emulate some kind of surround effect, or stereo at least, and have tried to use my Creative SBX Surround to do the same but both do not help. They help with other games though and make many sound awesome. However, the reason I'm guessing is that MWO is strictly mono at the moment. The third party virtual surround sound programs only make the variances between low and high sounds a little different, (so lasers go pEW! Instead of Pew, engine hum is muffle a bit, footsteps are quieter), and no surround effect is simulated, or even any kind of stereo effect with mechwarrior vs. various other games I've experimented with.
I've been fiddling around with this for about 6 months and conclude that stereo doesn't exist, everything is in Mono for me.
if there's a command line I could to use, that'd be nice.
