You never played the Tabletp game right? Dont make PGI responsible for a design they took 1/1 from the tabletop Mech.

Btw the chassis has 5 tons less than a Commando, so i expect a similiar size. i hope, an ER Large Laser and 4 MG`s is a possibility.

Why wonder what is possible...build one up yourself and see what you can do.
I present to you my version of the Locust.
LCT-1V - Oglethorpe's Locust

No, they are NOT as good as the Spider-5K, the spider has 50% more tonnage, an engine that can fit all the heat sinks, and jump jets.

Not without reducing the engine size or having no armour.

For better or worse, you can't. There's just not enough weight to mount anything over an AC10 and still get enough heatsinks to launch.

True dat.. but then again, most people said the same thing about 90 LRMs on a catapult.... 20 I think won`t work because of the actuators, but with a small engine and low armor I see a Gauss working out.....

No, I meant you literally don't have enough weight. You need 10 heatsinks to be able to launch the mech. The most efficient heatsink set up on a per tonnage basis still leaves you 1.5 tons short of the weight required for an AC20 (let alone ammo), and a Gauss actually weighs more.
