Hi, I'm Stomp of the Comstar Irregulars, a fun group of dudes who are a mixed, fun bunch of questionable allegiance. I've always loved being a part of CI, because it's given me the ability to play with all kinds of people from all the Great Houses, usually of mixed allegiance Merc Corps and the like! But recently, I've felt a bit of wanderlust, and so I've decided to go on a journey throughout the Inner Sphere!

As such, I've meant to go through each of the Successor States, chronicling my journey along the way so that newer players might have a reference on who they might like to swear allegiance to, if any! So I'm creating these threads in each of the Great Houses subforums, in the hopes that each of you fine people might reach out, and help me with some basic parts of my travels, starting with some individuals who might be interested in volunteering to mentor me inside of their respective militaries, so that I might find some place to start with fighting alongside you! I'm hoping to allow two days of drops with each House, for a couple hours each day hopefully! Because I'm doing all the Houses, I'll ask for a little patience at first while I try to coordinate which days each House might be toured!

I'm also looking for any suggestions at all from the newer players of the Houses, and want to ask you what made you decide to stay and fight for your House!

I like the concept behind what your attempting to do and hope you find the support and information your looking for while you complete the Steiner leg of your journey...

Thanks a lot for your support, I'm really excited to play with everybody, and it could be a help for newer players looking for somewhere to call home! Plus, it's a bit of good press for any of the Houses looking to pick up new members.

I'm born in this area of the universe, i am from a crappy noble family nobody heard about expect my family itself, plus my daddy told me to study the art of war, also as Steiner we have some very good units with some very good looking camo patterns and 100 tons are a popular choice. Do you realize how effective a 100 tons well painted mech is at picking up girls ?

I say this privately of course and i believe my name will not be made public ?

If it was to be made public, of course i fight for the glory of the House Steiner and to protect the innocent ! It is nothing more than my duty.

Also, i like blue color.

I mean seriously, look at the paintjob of say a Royal Guards Atlas, look at this discreet shield of one's own family ( here, on the bum of the mech ), and tell me it's not sexy ?

And all this mess of families and cultures ? It's screaming for pop corn and social promotion by means of marriage between cousins ( my cousins are sooooo hoooot, seriously )

Fine, i do not deny that my reasons might be a bit lame, but now that i am here, i am ready to make people burn inside their mechs just so that they don't burn me. And trust me, in the end, that's all you really expect a mechwarrior to do.

Here, let's have a drink to mechwarriors, the heroes and the lame, the dead, the still alive, and the soon to be dead ones ! It's on me !

As a very distant relative of our great Archon, I applaud your effort. As a Lyran (and a Steiner) I and many of my fellow Lyrans will pilot Assault mechs whenever possible. Most of us love beer, women (or men, whatever the preference) and painting our mechs blue.
