I was running a 7970 into a 1920x1080 27", ran fine with max settings at roughly 85fps.
Now running Triple Crossfire 7970s into an eyefinity 5760x1080 3x27", runs fine with max settings at roughly 80fps. No micro shuttering, however I can't get V-sync to enable properly.

Card was second hand, guy brought it to play a few games over a period of 2 months and after that decided he no longer needed it saw it on marktplaats (Dutch online auction site, brought up by ebay some time ago) and jumped on it.
He was nice enough to come and drop it off and put on a different bios for the OC hence running nice and stable at 1150Mhz.
Might be a tad slower than CF 7970, but no issues because it is a signle gpu, but now I have to save up for a second one of course
