Tell me what mouse is good to get. I used to use a Evo Cyborg joy stick. It sounds like Joysticks are not quite supported yet.

What is your fave way to play and is it accurate?

Mouse & keyboard is more accurate.

If u want to get a crazy custmizable mouse then look into the MadCatz R.A.T 7 and R.A.T 9. If u want more buttons then look at the R.A.T 7 MMO edition.
They are rather pricey, specialy the RAT 9, iirc it is the most expensive consumer level mouse out atm. But imo well worth hit, though i would advice getting one of the mouse pad designed for the mouse aswell(G.L.I.D.E 3, 7, or 9) becouse the Laser sensor can be very picky about the surface u use it on due to its sensetivity.

I would suggest getting Logitech G500. It's extremely accurate, and while not as customizable as the RAT mice it's very well designed, ergonomically, it does feature adjustable weights, and is bound to be a lot more durable and reliable on account of not being made by Madcatz (the armpit of the quality control world, along with Razer). Finally, and it does not care what surface you try to track on, so the mousepad is up to you. It's also only $45, so it's about the best value you're going to get, as long as you don't mind that you'll be owning it for really, really long time :D

I've also heard good things about teh Corsair M65 recently, though you're paying more money for basically the same thing plus a dedicated sniper button. Still, at $66, it's an excellent value, and pretty much has everything the G500 does sans price. It's actually built decently, and apparently it's quite comfortable.

Yea the G500 (G5) is a good little budegt gaming mouse, i stil have mine and only recently (last few weeks) changed to a RAT 7 MMO.
The G500 doesnt have many buttons though, and i never liked the look of numpad style side buttons u can get on the razer's and such, so thats why i went for the RAT 7 MMO edition :)

Yeah the G500 definitely could use more buttons. That is the one downside :/

It's not bad, but it's not fantastic, either

Logitech G700 here.
Although focussed on MMORGS it's comfy, got loads of buttons and sturdy in-hand. In general use I love the freewheel feature.
Only downside is battery life which will cope with about 12hrs straight gaming before needing a charge. It uses a 2000Mah AA that can be swapped out. The charge cable is designed for use in-game and is a little too stiff but easy to get used to.
I've not noticed any lag that would make me consider going back to a fixed cable.

Definite improvement over my MX1000

For MWO the G700 defaults the lower fwd/bck buttons to groups 3 & 4. The upper back is centre legs to torso. The buttons are well defined enough to avoid miss-clicking.
There's a separate DPI button but no light to say which one you're using.

I've not tried the software configs yet.

I use a naga as well [have both standard and the wireless epic version]. Most comfortable mouse on the planet. Adjustable side panels to increase width, and a simple numeric keypad you don't NEED software to use.

If you do go the naga route, one sage piece of advice

AVOID SYNAPSE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Razer Synapse software is the most abhorrent piece of digital garbage on the planet!
Mouse is great tho : )

Whatever mouse you have your eyes set on, I STRONGLY recommend you see if you can visit your local electronics store, browse the gaming mice, and see if you can actually hold whatever you like in your hand and play with it on a mouse pad (not an actual game, just slide it around the pad, push the buttons, and see how it fits your hand).

Doing stuff like this really helps you make up your mind because you don't get the "whole story" about a mouse until you're actually using it. I'll use the Razer Naga Hex as an example: It's a good mouse, I liked the placement of the buttons I saw when I ordered it online, but when I actually got it I suddenly realized it was light. VERY VERY light. TOO light, in fact. The damn thing was so light that when I pushed a thumb button on the side of it, I would move the mouse just a tad to the right. Not a big deal for the action MMO's it was designed for, but a BIG DEAL when using it for games that require precision aiming - like Mechwarrior Online. Plus I didn't like its ergonomics (how it fit to my particular hand). So I returned it and got a Logitech G700 - it has just as many buttons but it has a little bit more weight to it by virtue of containing a rechargeable double-A battery inside of it. So it's still a light mouse, but it will stay in place whenever I click a thumb button.

So yeah, do your best to actually try before you by. This isn't a criticism of the Naga Hex nor an endorsement of the G700, just a simple "buyer beware"

Mice are something that varies so much to taste and hand size you really have to try them out in person.

I know I did after my loyal G5 mouse died on me after many long years of service, I got some advice and just went to the store, ended up with a roccat kone xtd, amzingly accurate mouse and it fits my hand better than my old G5.
