Maybe you fire some mech design team and hire more network coders?
How about working hit detection in your fps?
Less models more function n maps = profit
Won't spend another dime till meta game or a working ui

But please, tell me again how hard you are not going to buy something.

Some of us like seeing a new mech every month.
Sure I would like to see new maps more frequently, but I don't want it at the expense of new mech designs.
By the way, what should they pay those extra network coders you were mentioning? Maybe money from the sale of new mechs? or sale from the new maps? or right the maps don't make money.
Speaking of which how much money have you kicked their way for all these features you want?

"Hi guys, I know you've all worked hard on these game models, and Alex, your artwork and mech concept production is so stunning that it makes the mecha angels cry.... but guys. The network code guys. How could you drop the ball like this?"

Hit detection seems FAR better since the hotfix, but each to their own, I guess.

Brilliant. You know what a mech game needs? Less mechs. Not enough mech games use less mechs as a selling point.

fix to a dc's issue that obviously didn't affect you unexpectedly plays with pings, causing issues which has been partially hotfixed and they've stated they are still looking at it. Full new ui and dropship mode info leaking out over the last few weeks, cw info due soon with new hints at it (see phoenix variant bonuses)
Nah they aren't doing anything about it.............

You all are deluding yourselves if you think you are getting 80$+ of value for a few maps no ui no matchmaking no features finished broken hit detection and a 2 year beta ****** you for money
L2 value
I've actually not seen a beta screw it's contributors over for money so hard withso few completed features

Bwahahahaha. Not a legitimate rant.
Not surprised, coming from someone who has only been here for just over a month.
Telling PGI to stop work on content to fix bugs is like screaming at the dishwasher because your food is cold. They have nothing to do with each other.
Artists aren't codemonkeys, they cannot help fix the programming issues. Modellers aren't network warriors, they cannot help fix the netcode.
Nobody is being forced to buy these packages, so nobody is getting screwed.
Your argument is invalid. L2STFU.

I didn't see anything mentioned about UI and matchmaking in the announcement. Or maps. It didn't promise anything about matchmaking either.
I have no idea as to what you were reading, but I saw mechs for sale in the press release, and i'm going to buy the crap out of them, delusions and all.

I was suggesting they cut their mech design staff and redeploy funds to hire coders for core features, not that the art guy should code net fixes.
Some of you are insanely stupid and combative

They have 1 texture guy, 1 map guy, and 1 mech modeller.
Which one do you think should get cut since the other two aren't qualified to take over his job?

And what sort of response did you expect from such an utterly ludicrous suggestion? Fire the people making amazing mechs to fix any issues you have stuck in your craw?
You can't throw a statement as inflammatory and, quite frankly, poorly researched as yours around without meeting resistance. Only PGI knows the assets it has on the payroll, and where they are deployed. You have no idea how many coders they have, or how complex their jobs are, and either do I for that matter, yet I won't be making any broad, sweeping generalizations about their ability or lack thereof.
If you're upset by people reacting negatively to your statement, then perhaps you should place some thought into wording things a little better.

the problem with that plan is new mechs (along with camo and trinkets), are the only things that actually make money. that is the problem with most f2p models, real content does not directly generate income, only cosmetic and filler content does. thus if a company is struggling to hit budgets real content will drop off as they try to catch up.
plus it is usually the case that hiring new developers, will delay development in general, often significantly. not only do you have a massive learning curve for the new dev, but they will also require significant time from other devs to help them get rolling.
