According to a Facebook announcement they are about to release the minimum system requirements for MWO. I would like to see the recommended system specs as well! I have built up my new computer all except the GPU for optimum MWO gaming, waiting to see what will give me optimum gaming performance... Minimum specs won't tell me what I want know. Please guys, give us recommended specs too!!

I would imagine they would be close to the system requirements for Crysis 2 since they use the same engine.
Here's a copy of the Crysis 2 stuff

Crysis 2 Minimum System Requirements
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2Ghz, AMD Athlon 64 x2 2Ghz or better
GPU: NVidia 8800GT 512Mb, ATI 3850 512Mb or better
RAM: 2GB
DX: 9
Shader: 3.0
OS: Windows XP
Frame Rate Target: 20fps@1024x768

Crysis 2 Recommended System Requirements
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66Ghz, AMD Athlon 64 x2 2.66Ghz or better
GPU: NVidia GTX280 1GB, ATI 4870 1GB or better
RAM: 3GB
DX: 9
Shader: 3.0
OS: Windows XP
Frame Rate Target: 30fps@1650x1080

Crysis 2 Optimum System Requirements
CPU: Intel Core i5 3.1Ghz, AMD Phenom II X6 1055T or better
GPU: NVidia GTX 560 Ti, ATI 6850 or Dual graphics cards
RAM: 4GB
DX: 11
Shader: 4.0
OS: Windows 7
Frame Rate Target: 30fps@1920x1200

I almost have those optimal specs. The differences are Core i3 2100 Sandy Bridge, the GTX 550 Ti, 8 GB RAM and I typically run at 1680x1050 because any higher and fonts are too small for me to read.

I was thinking the same thing.

I play on a laptop with the specs and I say anyone in my position needs to upgrade this year, get the most out of the latest graphics.

You could probably just change the DPI settings in Windows to make the fonts bigger, but still let your monitor run at its native resolution. If you're seeing any fuzziness due to resolution scaling, this should alleviate that (I can't stand not running an LCD at its native).
