Sorry I was too lazy to go through 60 pages of a post to find out (I guess I could have used a search function, but I'm too lazy for that as well), but I was wondering what time zone do you play in? You've said in your OP that you have American players, do any of them play at a time that's not like 4am my time (Central, UTC-6:00)? I tend to go to bed around midnight my time and get up around 8ish. I don't have much of a life but I'd like to keep that sleep schedule if I can hehe.
I've only been playing for about two weeks, and a big chunk of that I missed because I moved from one state to another and had to do some driving, and visiting relatives/friends along the way. Anyway I'm loving the game so far although I'm terrible at it, and I'm trying to "get good". I know it's going to take time and patience, I have plenty of both as long as no one's yelling at me like that raid leader from WoW. Actually that would be kinda funny, "THAT'S A FIFTY DKP MINUS!"

Perhaps if we had a European initiative that could go better, for those of us Americans with no lives or who work shifts that allow us to play around noon our time? That's my best time, around then (in my time zone) although I play on and off throughout the day. That would be around 6pm London time.
Either way I'm mostly grinding away right now, I made the mistake of spreading myself too thin instead of concentrating on one Mech to begin with. I started with Light because I heard several people say that's the best place to start but I guess I find them too limiting. Plus my first one was a Champion merch I was thinking of Tiers in terms of levels back then, thinking I would go up in Tier by playing more but I found out much later how wrong I was in that assumption (and we all know when one make an assumption they make an "***" out of "u" and "umption", or something like that). So I got me a Medium hero next to try him out, wasn't too wild about him either.
I went on trying several kinds of Merchs, I got the Steam Assault package and I like them (Warhawk and Zeus), but then I heard about needing 3 of one type of chasis to get Elite and Master. And while i know it's going to change in February I still wanted to try to get at least to Elite before then, so I bought three Shadowcats because I wanted something with jumpjets and I wanted something with omnipods. I either play them (all three to get used to them) or my assault mechs (especially my Zeus), and convert his points so that my kittehs can use them. Okay I'm babbling, I should stop now. I'll be on Teamspeak later but I'll be busy that next few days because I just moved here to Texas but once I'm settled in I'll be on quite often. See you in game!

the heavy queue just gets longer and longer.. time to bring out some mediums and lights! if you need help or pointers with the lighter weight classes, the DSA has some skilled light and medium mech specialist that can show you around!

I've applied and I have the TS info, I log in now and then but I've yet to see anyone in there. It could be my hours aren't aligning with yours. So far I'm not the biggest fan of Lights but I have a Medium that I'm enjoying, got him to Elite. I definitely enjoy the Assault mechs more but I'm a team player and will gladly practice on the Mediums more often.
