My experience with 8 mans has been meeting up with coordinated groups that typically have their mechs "maxed out" in terms of firepower, cheez builds, perks and modules.

Typically they stay tight, wait in a preferred location that gives them an advantage, and then decimate the impatient players on the opposing team, followed shortly after by crushing the remaining targets. Admittedly, that's what I see occurring against the "more casual, less organized" 8 mans I've participated in.

It just seems that those groups that are doing 8 man are SERIOUS. Their primary enjoyment seems to come from the win, not the "play". That's all good, and I'm not meaning it as a condemnation of their choices, but the game in it's current form and with it's current restrictions doesn't encourage 8v8, or at least it doesn't encourage players to TRY 8v8.

I wish they would work on the match making system. I find it ludicrous that you can have and 8 man, or solo, 2, 3,4 players but not 5, 6 or 7 in a group.

Earlier on they tried that and the 8 mans rolled over PUGs and everyone, so they made 8 man a separate category, but surely they can work out a match making system that tries to match up 5, 6 and 7 man groups with other similar sides.

I'd even be fine with dropping as a 6 or 7 man group and getting split up if the match maker can't find a good match. Hell, it's fun shooting your friends too.

Exactly. 8 Man (mainly so called clan guys) are just lame. Only wanna win.

My last 8 man matches were against 4 atlas ddc and 4 raven 3l before they nerfed the ecm. Once we killed their atlas their ravens went to to cap our base. Iam really glad that i dont play anymoar that cheezy 8 man mode

Not sure which 8 mans you guys are talking about. We often run into 8 mans of all mediums or mixed.

If we do run into a all Assault 8 man, you just need to adjust your tactics (have your scouts find em).

And no we don't run full assault 8 mans.
