I have not seen anyone post anything about this kind of an idea yet but I have decided to take a page from the book of the venerable urbanmech. My idea is to place an AC20 in one of the arms, like a ton or two of ammo, and the biggest engine I can find on this thing with just enough armor for it to fire off a few shots. I am currently debating if maybe a gauss rifle would be better but am undecided on that because I feel the AC20 would be more amusing when I core out an assault in 2-3 shots from behind.

Well nevermind me I guess, I just opened a builder planning to get to work on this idea more in depth but it seem impossible. I feel silly now.

you can do this currently with the raven 4x. it's funny for a while, but totally useless in the long-run

The closest thing to a "good" Locust loadout is probably going to be 1 LL + 2 MG.

there's a 4E variant iirc, so IF it's tiny enough a 4xml one might be quite fun...

Its okay, im fairly certain that later modules will allow an Atlas to "fire" Locust mechs at the enemy causing significant damage, the locust can then finish the job with a small laser and some machine gun fire. If they survive the collision.
I'd imagine the launcher to look a lot like a big crossbow.
Seems reasonable after all some atlas mech have more tonnage in Armour than the locust has in total.

Guchion, that sounds fantastic, just like the Russian TB-3 with the I-16 Module that could be fired at enemies!

It is decided, once the Phoenix Project is launched I will equip my Atlas with a Locust Launcher.

"you just killed a catapult with a locust?"
"I ran out of bullets "
Bruce Willis atlas approves.
I'm fairly certain in tt you could pick up and throw smaller mechs around, if you could catch them.

I've levelled each light mech and it's a painfully long grind even with jenners, unless the locusts have something hidden up their actuators I think I'll leave it till last.

I noticed something interesting, with the XL170 and another four SHS the mech is completely heat neutral with 4xMG and a single Mlas and max DPS is very nice at 5.4 though the LLas and 2xMG build is probably more realistic
