The Flea is going to be Interesting though. Machine guns are a lot less crappy then they used to be.

Flea
Locust
Raven
Blackjack
Phoenixhawk
Catapult
Cataphract
Thunderbolt
Victor
Battlemaster
Those designs from the Phoenix project are heavily copied in all regions. Pirated with disregard for copyright one might say. But they certainly help round out the list.

Styk is still FedCom as of 3050. Plus its a SLDF design, not to burst your bubble. At least you still have your Cataphracts though.

The Cataphract is a Capellan mech.

From what I've read (http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Victor) The Victor was built by and used by SLDF in 2508

Wait. Tao 'Mech Works was the third largest mech manufacturer for the Cappellans, before it was yoinked. There is in fact no report on what they built and supplied to the the Lao forces before then. Everything on their build list is from 3049 and after.
Sometimes I wish Battletech lore was less squishy.
Best I can find is this - https://dl.dropboxus...ables%208.2.pdf
On page 60, It suggests that The Victor 9B was the most common Liao assault mech for the 4th succession war.
Althought the Victor was just as common for the Davions.
And it isn't canon, it just references canon.
Look at me! I'm flipflopping and using questionable references!

To hold the peace, perhaps it would be best to say that the Laio are best known for using the Victor Mech, at least until they lost the planet much later.
When the reclaimed the planet, many Laio were reluctant to pilot Victors, because they then were associated with the enemy.
The other bit of confusion is the misconception that the Victor was named for Victor Davion, when it was first built hundreds of years before he was even born. It doesn't help that he did pilot one.
I'm still hoping for a HBK Hero Mech, possibly modeled after the one that the Yakuza boss piloted. Seems like the stalwart HBK-4G keeps getting over looked.
Back on subject, the Victor looks badass. If I hadn't already pre-ordered Operation Phoenix this one would be in my Mech bay. Doing the math of how much Operation Phoenix equals in savings made it an insta buy. The Hero Victor can wait.

Then of course, there is Yen Lo Wang, although Kai Allard Liao seems to be fighting everywhere and not necessarily at all times in the interest of the Capellan Confederation. In the end, it was gifted to Danai Centrella Liao, his niece, who also became a Solaris champion, and fought with the legendary Liao unit McCarron's Cavalry as Liao incursed into the Republic of the Sphere during the Dark Age.
The Liao collection needs the Vindicator.

HildCo Interplanetary was the manufacturer of this model and their factory is in St. Ives which in 2508 was firmly held by the Capellan Conferderation. The factories were destroyed in 2783, so that is some 200 years of production by HildCo.
The FedSuns claim to the Victor only came from the factories on Quentin, which was lost to the Draconis Combine in 3040.

The Flea has -amazing- hardpoints for a light mech, and it's going to hit like a truck for it's size. If it's small and hard to hit, it's going to be an utter monster. The only reasoning I can gather for why people might think the Flea == Machine Guns is MW4, but none of the mech designs in MW4 even remotely resembled their canon counterparts.

But what about Highlanders? Capellans use them too, but in small number. And you also forgot that House Liao also fielded the largest number of Jagermechs in the IS, alongside with House Davion's. BTW, how come it wouldn't be right for the Liao mech collection if Vindicator is introduced. I know Blackjack could be good enough, but why not Vindicator since it's a very iconic mech in the CCAF?

Nope. The FLW no longer needed it a centuries ago due to the excessive loss of light mech designs in an early Succession War and was forced to go for a heavier mechs. Then, Wolf's Dragoons bought them and it became exclusively theirs. Until our brave Maskirovka raiders managed to acquire the Flea blueprint a decade ago, we created and produced our own Flea, the FLE-17. And thus, the Flea is officially a Capellan mech as well.
