Why would you even make this mech? It's a lighter version of the Heavy Metal essentially.

Give use the 2 ballistics so that we get 1 in each arm instead of gimping the damn thing and just rehashing the heavy metal design.

I'm telling everyone i know not to buy this thing if they have the HM already, there is just no point to buying it otherwise.

Split the ballistics up into each arm and this thing will sell like crazy. That would make more sense for the victor as a fast hard hitting assault mech.

We already know you don't care much about balance so just do us all a favor and do it already.

Confidence Level is not improving with the release of this kind of stuff...you are almost as low on the confidence poll as Obama, i know you are Canadian so you prob don't care though.

Your forgetting some useful info. Victor can mount a larger engine in a light chassis so it can be faster and more agile. Also it mounts more JJs at a lighter weight so more mobilty in the air.

Also they have different shapes which will vary their overall survivabilty to one degree or another.

Lastly, one is a Victor and one is a Highlander. They look different and for some, that is going to be a important distinction.

Edit: Ohh before I forget. There are hundreds of mechs in the Battletech Universe and each and every one of them could theoretically be built out of perhaps 2-3 dozen chassis is you discount appearance. Therefore having a variety of mech appearances is just as important to MWO as having a varity of builds. If nothing else it adds to the overall immersion factor.

What flagrant ********. When are we going to get a proper Ballistic assault. I was interested in the HGN until I saw its ballistic gimpness, and I was interested in the Victor (Despite not looking as cool as the HGN) and now I have to move on from it due to its ballistic gimpness. PGI can we please get a true dual Ballistic section mech?

that's as bout as weak of an argument as i have heard.

get real, no one cares about going faster in the assault mechs when the meta is boat PPC or missiles and sit in the back.

PGI is clueless, you want to sell this mech like there is no tomorrow, then separate the ballistic hard points and make something different, otherwise there is no point to this mech.

we have 2 of them already that are damn near identical

I dunno it seems good to me.... granted, it'd be better if the Victor wasn't put in the same category as the Atlas as far as movement goes.

Exactly Gierling.. Im well sick of Assault mechs that cant mount 2 AC 20s or 2 gauss.. hell even 2 AC 10s.. all are ammo dependent however go ahead and mount 6 PPCs ..

Wrong some of us do care about going fast in an assault. Try not to speak for everyone :) And the meta changes over time.

The problem isn't that the 'mech is horrible, it's that compared to the upcoming Victors, it's going to be by far the worst.

yea, the situation here is that we DON'T have hundreds of mechs available so variety would seem to be something more pertinent than looks. we have fewer than 30 or so right, so again your argument is weak.

Playing into the current meta (and thus is most likely to be picked up by the masses) the Dragon Slayer is fine, now if you are looking for diversity your simply SOL this time.

approximately 70% of mechs in the mech universe are pointless if your going to complain about weapons bays all the same with another skin

I'd disagree. The slots are too spread out, making it a crappy mini-Highlander.

Compared to the Victors that will be able to carry TWIN Gauss or AC/20, this thing is a joke. Not a bad 'mech on it's own, perhaps, but likely to be a contender for "The worst Victor variant."

There are no dual-Gauss or AC/40 Victors. http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab

All of them have right-arm ballistics only. 9B, 9K, 9S.
