God, I hate this movement change so much... I understand and support that REAL inclines slow down mechs. But going slower every effin' time there is a 20cm bump in the road sucks so hard, I am at a miss for words. How the hell can this crap ever get past QA? Assuming there even is QA, which I already started to doubt when LRM's were one-salvo-beheading stuff and snow was white on thermal.

Someone with photoshop skills needs to take one of those Obama posters they changed from saying "Change" to "Same" and put Garth's picture on it instead.

This would be awesome ^^.

Also, people, quit bitching until you've actually tried out the changes in combat. FFS, a person might start to think you're all a bunch of entitled children...

So much hate for a game you all obviously still play. I'd love to see everyone complaining about why things aren't being released fast enough go to PGI and work there for a while...might surprise you how much work is actually involved. Not as simple as just changing some constant.

I'm looking forward to seeing what they did with movement. Nothing was more frustrating than finding my 5 story mech can't walk over a single story bump in the terrain...and the canyon map with those long stretches where you can't find a seam to climb up with.

Most of the other changes seem minor but didn't we just have a patch two weeks ago? And two weeks before that? I think they're doing fine in terms of patch schedule. I'm waiting on changes to (command/lance ops, something to counter dual ac/20 nonsense) but I also know how much work is involved in developing a game or any software.

If you've got to whine and belittle someone about a typo in the title of the post for 2-3 pages instead of just giving them a heads up and not being a douche, you might consider finding another game to play. There are plenty and no one is forcing you to play this one.

The heat penalty is a step in the right direction, but really what does that do to the AC/40 Jager? What's the next move when heat penalties are circumvented? nerf PPCs to oblivion? nerf ACs? nerf large lasers? I'm thinking less and less that it's a damage to heat problem. I mean somewhere down the increasingly severe heat penalty road people are just going to start using Gauss rifles. And no heat penalty can curb that. So what are they going to do? Never release a mech with more than 2 ballistic hardpoints and enough weight to pack anything more than a machine gun? We need something that disincentivizes pinpoint high alpha damage. Heat doesn't do that. Heat can't do that. If you guys haven't read Homeless Bill's targeting cumputer balance page you should do so. It's under general discussion > weapon balance. I'd post a link, but my work computer doesn't like that very much.

so what do you call a 9mm pistol in the states then ? a 3/8s pistol?

We measure everything in furlongs here in the states, so 9mm are called "44.73872586 10^-6's."

Duh.

Yeah I wish we would have went Metric in the 70s like they tried. Its a better system all around. Really 5280ft in a mile?

Much sarcasm I sense in this one.

Well, I thought that the Metric system was better too, for a while. But really, the foot is a much more convenient size than a meter, for measuring anything other than long distances, and 12 inches has many, many more factors than 10 (though a base 10 system is much easier to remember). My only problem with the Standard System is that the bases aren't consistent. I'd very much prefer a base twelve inch/foot system over the metric system (which is, as I said, easy to remember and good for measuring long distances and other kinds of units).

You really think sound engineers are the same people who work on game modes or maps?!

It's not accidental. Look at what they did with the Heavy Metal, and now this new Hero Mech. "Let's release the hero-mech 2 weeks before the actual mech so we can get all the rabid fanboi's to buy it before they try it!".

I have a founders Hunchie, and I haven't bought one hero mech yet. I still have alot of MC left from founders and the Slayer might be the first I pruchase because I like the mech not because I'm a rabit fanboi, but I do argree with you that its a strategy for them to cap on those who do purchase alot of mechs.

Metric is the least of our concerns, our forest fire prevention representative is a bear and in England its a frog. Much better system, we should adopt that if anything.

Why is Bryan the problem? He stopped giving useful answers in the AtDs long ago, but that's not who you should be raging against.

Hint: It's Paul.

I love how the Dragon Slayer comes stock ready for the current meta. Except it's best to just ditch the medium lasers and SRMs in favor of either more heat sinks or another PPC, but I guess having some extra medium lasers laying around never hurt anyone.

Not in patch notes.

Jump jet cockpit shake is gone and reticle shake is still there:

http://mwomercs.com/...-for-all-mechs/

As a light pilot I am delighted, I have tested this and it works beautifully I can now rock my spider without motion sickness.

THANK YOU.

No idea how it effects larger mechs and pop sniping,

PGI you are being too careful.

You've already screwed the pooch with 3PV, why walk on eggshells when it comes to balance changes?

Why wait for over 2 weeks after a feature is done before rolling it out? We need weapon balance changes of some sort yesterday. And please for the love of god tell me you aren't going ahead with the "magic heat" idea.

Honestly, you NGNG guys appear to be the only players with whom PGI actually interacts, anymore. Perhaps you should light a fire under their *****, because current weapon balance is trash. Stop throwing them softballs.

Honestly, beyond making pretty posters and graphics for free I don't have any type of influence on PGI or even NGNG as a whole for that matter. I would have made the same post whether I have an NGNG signature or not. I enjoy playing the game (even if it is work in progress), I enjoy making content for the MWO community, I enjoy interacting with the members of the MWO community and will continue to do so until any of these things cease to provide enjoyment.

Unfortunately that is about as far as my scope of influence reaches.
