The Shadow Hawk will have some really fun builds you can try.

You can always just sell the normal variants of the other two that you get. They you will have 4 mech bays and some c-bills.

Not when I think I've paid for those standard variants real money, as much as discounted they can be then it's worthier to keep everything unless the normal variants suck blatantly. Whatever, I'd like mid-tiers allowing to pick up the mechs like
30$ pick up 1 mech (to be chosen from locust, SH and thunderbolt -nope no battlemaster)
50$ pick up 2 mechs freely with some pt (early buy only), 1 faction medallion
70% pick up 3 mechs freely, some pt, 2 faction medallions
I'd go with the third pack, otherwise I'll gladly wait for another black friday to get MCs, since none come with the Phoenix.

I'm aware of that and it's disappointing, no doubt. Still, I'm sure they could have come a little bit closer to the original without infringing. Then again, I'm not a graphic artist.

Second would have to be the Thunderbolt, but if the Locust turns out to be tiny enough or have an interesting quirk, I can see putting in some solid time on it. The Battlemaster will certainly be a lot of fun, but since I hate alpha-boating, it'll take some doing to find a build that I really enjoy. Whereas the Shadow Hawk just screams "Hey! Betcha can't do this on any other chassis!

I've put together a few possible builds for the Shadowhawk:

Last one is about equal to this Ctf-3D build, so probably only worthwhile if you're trying to conserve tonnage.
Highlights just how much weight you need to spend to get a ballistic worth using, unfortunately.
Prediction: Shadow Hawk will live or die based on the power of SRMs.

I don't use Lights and Assaults much, so they don't interest me too much. I play Heavies the most, and I do like the Thunderbolt, but I am more undecided on how I want to play that mech. I have a clear definition in my mind when it comes to the Shadow Hawk (At least for now).

Hence why it takes note design cues from the miniatures and whatnot rather than the original artwork.
