That feedback thread is locked, so I'll just drop this here.
The Jumpjet shake change is a stride in the right direction, and my visual disorder thanks you. Now if only I could mount buildings without getting stuck at 0kmh on the very edge.

Why the hasty lock to the jumpjet feedback thread? PGI wants to just forget this serious problem? I just poptarded an hour or so and my eyes are in pain. No more nausea that is true, but the problem isn't solved yet. Cata 3D or larger mech still makes the landscape shake little bit too much. There is no point trying to focus sight to the bouncing crosshair because it doesn't show where weapons will fire and with the shake one cannot focus eyes to the vibrating enemy mechs no matter what. So when jumpjetting players eyes still automaticly moves around rapidly searching for something solid.
Anyway players won't shoot while jumpjets are active because of the random crosshair so why there has to be any shaking at all when space bar is pressed? It just makes players eyes hurt and doesn't nerf poptarting. Why the longer time of random crosshair isn't enough?
If you say "because of the realism" I will answer that getting shot to the cockpit by lasers should then make players blind and firing big arse AC20s should give us neck injuries. Players shouldn't be punished with physical injuries if they want to do something that is considered somewhat OP.
The shaking effect should be optional.

I was going to make a new thread but you beat me to it.
PGI please dont lock the feedback thread and run away now that everyone is cheering "Horay I can drive my spider/jenner again" The reason for this is the shaking is now bareable for lightmechs but still the same for the larger ones, the way the penalties should be but with a new mechanic.
I know that for myself and the way the shaking still affects me in anything larger than a medium mech and that means heavy and assault mechs with jumpjets installed are still out of the question for me. AKA no driving larger mechs with jumpjets aka no BUYING a hero victor or anything similar
So I will not be calling this case closed lock thread, this problem and you 60 page thread has only been really solved for light pilots with jumpjets while larger mechs still cause the exact same problems that everyone was documenting in the feedback thread.
So please reopen it and keep the discussion alive or atleast get someone high and mighty to come in and say "yes we will change the mechanic come hud v2 or after launch or something" because as it stands you have only solved 25% of the problem by removing 50% of your mechanic for one weight class.

Wow.
The complaining about rumbly tummies and sore eyeballs continues.
Its amazing such weak constitutions ever survived evolution to climb its way out of the muck.
Its a game silly. If you cant handle the wavy lines then its time to shut off the computer and go get some sunshine.

It really is amazing that people still cant get it into their thick skulls that us complainers hate poptarts too and also want them fixed just in another way that makes more people happy.
Its amazing such thick headed constitutions ever survived evolution to climb their way out of the muck and learn how to operate a computer and type words.

I agree fully. As a very avid and proliferate user of jumpjets, the adjustment to shake is a great step in the right direction. The shake makes jump-shots (Which have nothing to do with poptarting, as I use this tactic to brawl outside of cover) difficult and require even greater aiming abilities, but remains viable with care.
With that being said, the movement code changes have effectively knocked JJing during brawls or as a way to circumvent impassable terrain out of viability. The mech will stick on any little nook or cranny and become 0-locked, flying directly up. Even attempting to use jets around very tiny hills or grades causes the mech to float uselessly straight upwards.
I cannot think of a more shortsighted change to gameplay, or one that has more effectively ruined JJs for the proliferate user. I almost never have a full tank, and doing that correctly and safely requires a lot of concentration, situational awareness and very careful piloting. With any mistakes, the mech becomes an easy target or will take leg damage. The new mechanics, however, are so bluntly ineffective and damaging to the movement of smaller, more vulnerable mediums and lights, that the previous tactic of using JJs to dodge incoming fire and outmaneuver other mechs is simply gone.
PGI, please, for the love of all that is balanced, stop blunting the game with these collaterally damaging mechanic changes, all they do is dumb down the system and make tactics that require intelligence, careful timing, accuracy and strategy useless compared to boating and heaviest-build-possible tactics. The MW series is not a point and shoot genre, it's a tactical simulation genre. A genre that you have bastardized and failed to properly balance.
