This from Community Q&A 5:

"[DAVID] To destroy a BattleMech, you have to destroy the head, destroy the center torso, or destroy both legs. You, the MechWarrior, can never die."

I'm curious if destroying right or left torso is included. I think i member reading there is no damage transfer to CT from other sections, but you should still be able to take out a mech if a RT or LT is critical right?

only with an xl engine

otherwise theres nothing there to kill them with

Yea... If they have an XL engine it entends into the side torsos so destroying those would "kill" the mech. If ammo explosions in the side torsos bled into the center torso with a regular engine, it would probably die too.

I thought I saw in one of the videos, an Atlas running around with nothing but center torso and died to damage to the left torso.

Was hard to tell though because of 'splosions...

to destroy a battle mech all you have to is shoot it till its a pile of scrap or the pilote is dead wich ever comes first.

Strip all the limbs first. Piece by piece.
