I've been getting bad audio crackling when multiple people fire MG's or lrms and I know it isn't down to hardware. I use Gamecom 780 headset with my speaker setting at 5.1. Is there any workaround to this problem like a cfg command? (This has been happening before the patch)

One thing I've heard is try adjusting (lowering) your audio bitrate in windows for your device. I'll be trying this out later if I hear the crackling again.

use 5.1 or stereo.

set your windows bitrate to 44100 or 48000 might help.

you can try inserting these commands to your user.cfg file and tweaking them. you may need to create user.cfg in the root MWO folder first.

s_SpeakerConfig = 0
AutoDetect speaker configuration.
s_FormatType = 3
Sets the format data type to PCM 24bit.
s_FormatSampleRate = 48000
Sets the output sample rate.
s_MusicEnable = 1
Enable/disable music.

Also try increasing the s_StreamBufferSize

In the config:
s_StreamBufferSize = 196608
