50-60 is where the game should stop you from moving. This would fix a ton of map movement issues quickly and easily.

It beats the PGI idea of going to into every single map and making so certain areas are scalable.

I think having 45 degrees unscalable is fine, but at 45 to 50 degrees, the amount of momentum you are losing should be much slower, say over a 3.0s period.

At 50-60 degrees is where your mech should just slow to a stop in the manner it is doing now, within like 0.5 to 1.0s.

Anything much higher than that should just immediately stop you at the bottom.

I agree, and while they're at it give JJ mechs a slight thrust vector in the direction of whatever movement key is being pushed, even when the mech isn't moving. This would minimize getting stuck in weird areas because of the new climbing nerf.

Needs tweaking but is a step in right direction.

You do know that you can scale 45 degree slops in game now, it just takes longer.

Ever tried to run up a 45 degree hill in real life?

... ain't as easy as most people think.

Last I checked, most people cannot comfortably scale a slope greater than 40 degrees IRL while making flat-footed contact with the surface itself.

Yes, which means there was literally no ******* point of implementing the change

I respectfully disagree, makes all the difference in the world. System is still flawed and needs to be worked on but it is an improvement.

The point being that they keep releasing half-baked ideas that arent complete mechanics, and then somehow they manage to put it onto the live server without actually playtesting it.

There is no way in Hell they playtested this for more than 20 minutes.

I like the idea, it needs changes, but as of right now I think its blatantly ******* ********.

Realistically, anything steeper than 45 degrees should stop you, considering you aren't digging into the hill.
