This thread is meant to be a one-stop catalog of features from the community that I would like to see but have not seen a confirmed ETA or been denied by the Developers and are not critical to the balance of the game.

These are mechanics and content that are low-to-mid priority, and do not involve things that make major changes, like Weapon Balance, Heat Penalties, or Hardpoint Restrictions.

As suggestions get implemented, denied or out-dated, they will be removed.

Simple rules:

Suggestions featured here:
  • WILL NOT have a major impact on the game itself.
  • WILL NOT seek to change the design or balance of existing mechs and weapons.
  • WILL follow the spirit of Battletech and Mechwarrior, even if it does not necessarily follow canon.

Mechs:

Period Appropriate: There are 3 existing variants of that mech available right now in the MWO timeline. Except for the concept art, programming, and modelling, this is a mech that could be introduced into MWO at any time.

Annihilator

Near Future: Up to 5 years out in the Timeline, these mechs might not have 3 existing variants according to lore, but they would be considered in their Experimental and Prototype stages in reality, which means that they could be part of MWO.

Maps

Battlefield Combat: These are typically large maps that would be considered openly contested fighting ground for Factions.

Arena Combat: These are smaller maps designed around the concept of arena or lance-to-lance fighting, much like the maps found on Solaris VII.

Mechanics

Game Mechanics: These are mechanics that would augment gameplay itself, possibly making it more immersive or diverse.

General Mechanics: These are mechanics that augment or change the way the out-of-game experience works. These affect Community Warfare, Units & Factions, Mechlab, Pilot Lab, etc.

I want these Things:

1.: An option to sort all my many Mechs in my Mech Bays
2. Bitching Betty to say "Shut-down initiated", so i can push the button.
3.: A distance counter to the targets on the compass

I would like to have these Things:

4. A window that you have to answer after Mechs configuration, that asks "What range is your Mech supposed to fight?" like short, middle, long and that shown in the TAB-thing. Would help for PUGs.
5. A better VOIP sollution, where you automaticly connected to your team.
