Anyone else experiencing extremely fragile torsos with XL engine equipped catafracts? I played a couple of matches in my 4X since the patch and have been cored in 1-2 hits of a ERPPC or AC-5.

Yes, I have experienced this. I was once hit in a fully armored center section when hit with 1 large laser and finished off with an ac20... as far as I know that will not strip all the Armour off a fully armored cataract. I just stared at the summary screen with my jaw dropped (it only showed I had taken two shots and did not have any ammo explosions, I didn't have any ammo in that section anyways). it does not happen very often but I have been killed with almost full armor by 1 or two shots since then and it only happens on my cataracts not any other mechs.

Could this be a result of the damage transfer bug (i.e. shots to front torso hitting your rear)?
In any case, have you also submitted a support ticket, preferably with the end of game screenshot attached?
Good luck with resolution.

I'll have to do some testing, however, I was having this problem with my catapult. Which is why I bought the cataphract and it seems to be a lot more durable. Still running a normal engine though, maybe I'll keep it this way if the XL is going to cause problems.
