Dear Pgi Forum Suggestion Consideration

Have any of the post in the forums ever effected the game? If so could you list off suggestions that have been used or have inspired changes in the game. Do good suggestions from the forums get brought up when making changes to the game? I expect this thread to sink in the forums like a rock. I thought the posters of constructive input would be inspired if I get an answer.

1. I have one of my suggestions soon to be implemented into the game--the beam duration reduction of Pulse Lasers. However, I have this nagging suspicion that PGI merely came up with the idea separately later on, as opposed to actually looked at my post and acted on it.

Examples listed by fans have less value, because they can't prove any sort of causality unless PGI verifies it, as El Bandito points out. I've been asking for the Raven 2X and 4X engine caps to be increased since 2012, and it might happen soon, but I don't think it was because someone at PGI read my post and they've been discussing it for 8 months, finally now agreeing to follow my suggestion.

So yeah, it would be cool if PGI answered the question. Although I do the question has been asked and answered in an earlier Ask the Devs.

I can think of one thread that I had that may have influenced engine restrictions, but the Devs said the engine freedoms that were in place were actually just a place holder back in Closed Beta. Sadly, I can think of so many amazing threads, from a wide variety of different authors, that foretold of the pin-point alpha meta game that we currently see. They were made during Closed Beta and will be quite difficult to dig up at this point, after the forum reshuffle. They were informative, in depth, had great suggestions and were backed up with charts, graphs and math. There are great posts on various subjects now, too, but nowhere near the same volume as was commonplace during Closed Beta. Seeing as all of that information was generally ignored, my guess would be that PGI might read some of the forum suggestions, but the views and insights that really hold up in the office originate from PGI staff members.

about the only 'suggestion' I know of is the one that Paul presented to the game and that was whether or not to up SRM damage. Its about the closest PGI has come to listening to us that we know about.
