System:

intel 2.8 quad
16gigs ram
Nvidia 570
650watt PS

I recently upgraded from a Nvidia 470 to a 570. Since the upgrade I've been hard crashing. My power supply is the proper rating. Drivers are up to date. It's not overheating. I'm only on "High" settings. I don't receive any form of error message or blue screen.

The crash only occurs in MWO. (although it's the most graphically intense game I'm playing atm.) Possibly a bug? Or more likely a faulty card. Anyone experience something similar?

Intel i5-2500K @ 3.3 GHz
8GB RAM @ 1333 MHz
GTX 560 Ti @ 850 MHz
775W PSU

I generally play MWO on Very High settings and get crashes on a regular basis (average of at least one crash per day - and I don't even play often or for extended duration) since May 2012. I've tooled around with the settings but still find the game unstable even on Low settings. I've played on a wide range of systems in a hardware lab and with friends; the game seems very picky about what hardware it likes, but that's to be expected from software that is still in its infancy. Eventually they'll work out most of the kinks...

MWO isn't the most hardware intensive game I play, most of the more intensive games I play don't require too much tinkering with other than increasing my RAM up to its factory speed of 1600 MHz if playing on highest settings drops my FPS steadily lower than 25. MWO is also the only game I play that crashes on any regularity or at all.

If your hardware is running all of your other games fine, then there's nothing wrong with your hardware (I doubt your 570 is faulty if that statement is true for you); it's the software that's the issue

...and that it is - MWO is not a very stable game. There's a lot of Open Beta software (even F2P) on the market that's significantly more stable than MWO. But PGI's already stated several times that they're new to CryENGINE; so just give them time to iron everything out. CryENGINE isnt that popular either (though it is quite beautiful); I see more games on the market that use Unreal Engine or Unity, so I imagine information on those engines is more readily available and known to developers than say CryENGINE.

Just hold in there with your currently owned hardware (no need to change it); once PGI gets in the functionality to reconnect to matches, the crashing or session disconnects will be a lot more bearable until they finally work out the majority of hardware issues.

icore-i7 3.4ghz
16g ram
gtx650ti 2g
800w psu

Game runs great but, after 3-4 hrs. straight play the game will completely freeze. Even Esc does not work. Restart 3-4 hrs. play freezes again. It doesn't really bother me since after that amount of time I need to take a break. But, I play other mmo's where I'm raiding with 4-24 people and this does not occur at all.

450W with a 760? I'd rather suspect the PSU/lack of power than any SW in this setup. Recommended PSU is 500 Watts for this thing, IIRC. But just to be on the safe side, I'd go with a 650. You might wanna use one of those power-calculators on the web to see if that 450 is enough for your system.

One of the reasons I'm saying this is that I have fried a PSU with a GFX-update a few years back when I switched to one of those power-hungry GTX 260s. On paper I was *almost* within specs, but it turned out it wasn't enough when one day the PSU went *poof* and died.

I would've suspected the card or change of cards, but 650W sounds plenty for the 570.

Any OCing going on in that system?

Have you tried flashing/updating your BIOS? Your MB is probably 3, 4 years old? If the BIOS is just as old, it might be a good idea to update it to the latest version.

I'd suspect driver issues for most of you.

For a TWIMTBP game, MWO certainly seems to have a large number of issues with Nvidia cards/drivers.

Also, I highly suspect that there is a VRAM usage/leakage issue generally within MWO. I'm hoping that the DX11 update will help/fix this issue.

Since this issue began I've swapped power supplies (trying both a 650 and 850), video cards (Nvidia 470 and 570, pci slot, reformatted my hard drive, and even tried a new reformatted hard drive. Sometimes I can play for 3-4 games without crashing. Other times I barely make it a minute into the first game and I'll crash.

Still no error message, just straight to off.

I had similar issues. After playing a while my system shut down. I bought a new PSU - important were 2 pcie-wires. Not a single cable with 2 possible connections 4 GPU. It means a modern atx standard (2.3???). After that I Hand NO more shutdowns!

My system:
AMD fx8350
Gtx770 MSI
PSU 650w (my former PSU Hand 650w too)

There's an error, you just need to find it.

Check the Windows Event Viewer, and check the System Logs and the Application Logs. Should give you the file name that caused the program to stop. Most likely an event ID 1000-1009
